The plane looks just about the same as the F-15 only with a certain clumsiness in design as the difference.

You have to remember that the Mig-31 was based on the Mig-25, which predates the F-15 by at least 10 years.

And I remember somewhere that the Mig 25 was based on the American Navy Vigilante.

25 and 31 are hi speed interceptors meant to take on likes of valkyrie and so forth. Also as extension of radar system to detect low flying enemy aircraft (soviet radar system not too good when plane designed).
Didn't the vigilante have option to pack atomic weapons? I don't think they are even vaguely similar.

Nick, I think he means they are BROADLY similar in appearance. In other words about as similar-looking as the F-15 is to the F-14 with its wings forward. Two vertical tail fins, big rectangular intakes on either side of cockpit, etc...
EDIT: at 00:25 in the video there is a guy writing on a chalk board. He looks like he is wearing ACUs....wtf? What Russian uniform is this?

This vid can be found in downloadable vmw-format on www.rusarmy.com along with several other good vids. Including a pretty good one on Russian tanks to a death-metal track (or something like that).

Yes, but what possible use is it to state that they look broadly similar when in all the areas that matter, they are radically different? Aviation design aesthetics are driven largely by the aero-engineering theories (aerodynamic, stealth etc) of the day, hence vaguely similar styles emerge in different countries' aircraft (EFA, Gripen, Rafale being an example of a common design configuration).
His implication was that the MiG was somehow a copy of the Eagle. Which it isn't.

That's a mean looking plane.

Its a mean plane- maybe too underestimated because in recent wars ppl used them as a dogfight plane which is not even close to what it realy is. Mach 3 interceptor.
I saw a video where you can fly in it in russia (for tons of money of course). You get to see the earth curvature and be the highest man on planet for a while (- astronausts in the ISS).

It's impossible a copy of the eagle since MiG-31 is just an upgraded and modernized MiG-25 and this design was introduced long before the F-15.
BTW MiG-31 was the first fighter aircraft with a planar electronically scanning radar array, which was also the most powerful fighter mounted radar of it's time. Modern US AESA radar was possibly inspired (not copied of course) by this idea.

Thank you kremilek_a_vochomurka for this link and thank you OldRecon for this source, there are really good videos.

The MiG-31 has never been used in any wars.....i think you are talking about the MiG-25.
