This is a repost. All the pictures are combat camera images from the Allied campaing in Normandy June-August 1944 and the Battle of Cherbourg.

They are available from the link given by Kalasj.

All in all, there are over 2 000 (!) pictures to download, for a total size of +/- 4,2 Go!

Do not waste you time, it is accessible to anyone ;-)

I can't recall seeing USA wearing cammo's of the like.

It was an experimental camofluage uniform first issued to units in Southern France in 1944, never really caught on. My memory of which units first used it escapes me, but I'm thinking one of the Armored divisions.

For anyone who is interested, you can download this program to scan the URL and pull all images into a local directory on your PC.

FYI: It took about 2 hrs to get all images on my laptop, running a Cable connection
