You don't need a Passport, lots of people enter the US each year without a passport. And you'll get your gun in the mail with samples of laundry detergent; like every other American.

And to think I was only asked 2 questions and one of them was a repeat. Who was the first President of the United States and what do the 13 stripes in the US flag stand for. I was a little upset that he didn't ask me my 5 questions as I had spent about a month swotting on them.
Here's a link to all the questions they could pick 5 of to ask you.

No, you don't fail, it only means you have to choose: a gun or a citizenship :D

No, that test was shallow. Real softballs. Answer selection made it stupidly easy. Take the second. A bit harder, but any American better go 20 - 0. I would not expect to do well on any other nations' test.

The Legislative branch question got me....learning about politics and government processes is so long and complicated it's not worth wasting time learning about.

All 10 correct, man, that bring back memories, I had the luxury of learning U.S. history in school, so I was well verse in it. My parents on the other hand had to study really hard and constantly listening to those lesson tapes that drove me mad sometimes, but we finally earned our citizenship and what a great feeling that was.
One little technicality, only 46 out of the 50 states in the Union go by the term "state," the other four all like to be refer to as a Commonwealth, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Virginia (excluding U.S. territories).

9 right, 1 wrong (number of amendments)
I demand my passport be given to me this very minute ! ;)
What's funnier is the quizz I had to fill in when I went to Louisiana for the wedding. In a very polite way, this little green card asked something like that (quoted from memory) :
- if I had participated in the Jewish Holocaust, or have worked for Nazi Germany in any way.
- If I was a pimp or in any way connected to international prostitution
- if I dealt drugs or was in any way invoilved in international drug trade.
- if I had committed acts of terrorism or was in any way connected to international terrorism.

Hahaha, IIRC I had to fill the same card while applying for a US tourist Visa, those questions looked strange to me.

The green forms are the standard for travelling to the US. One positive answer and you can just take a flight back. It's funny when the stewardesses hand out the forms and everybody is filling it in, sneaking at their seat neigbours like in a school test. First time time i travelled alone and filled it in together with a swiss girl who later almost puked on my shoes. Then i forgot to fill "male or female" and the immigration/customs/tourist visa guy at the airport got kinda rude. I also screwed a few forms because of the way you write "1", "7" and the date is different here and strictly regulated to the american way on this form.

I mean, what kind of Nazi War criminal / International drug-runner / terrorist is this supposed to deter ? Those who, like George Washington, couldn't tell a lie and own up at the first opportunity ?
The "Nazi Germany" question is geting a bit old, if you pardon this little pun. But well, maybe there's a 90-year old, enema bottle-carrying War Criminal who gets arrested from time to time, after all. It just seems odd to answer to see the thirty- to fortysomethings who are the vast majority of passengers answer that question.
The only rationale I could find was that maybe it enabled the United States to expel/arrest you if it was found you had lied to US INS and Customs upon entering US territory.
