Isn't it about time to clean out the garbage in this forum? I know that the stupidity seems to come and go, but the rancid stench of hate and stupity is really thick these days.
Balkan insult wars pollute every topic. Disrespect is the norm for any and all difference in opinion. Even the dead aren't afforded respect in here. I just had to read and view HELEX spin his anti-US horse**** while disrespecting 4 people killed and mutilated in Iraq. Not to pick on him, but this kind of stupidity just plain stinks.

This is a free site, but private as I am aware. Perhaps out mods can appeal to Hood for the green light to "un-invite" some unwanted guests. Hood has had to contract extra mods, create more strict rules for dummies, and eliminate all sigs, just to keep the moronic verbal flatulance to a dull roar. Maybe a little less child proofing and a little more "bouncing" is long over due.

Untill two weeks ago I was all against banning people. I even thought that banning Sixgun Symphony was not a good idea.

Why? Because I think everyone has their right to state their opinion. No matter how much hate and racsist slurs they had within.

Why again you might ask?: Well, sometimes it is good to see people come out in the open with their opinions, so one can see how they really are.

But now, I'm on a different opinion. Ban the scum faster than the speed of light.
The first posting they show their true faces. Ban, and ban again.

Some warning signs that may show such a person:

1) First posting ever on a forum: A total attack on policy, country or people.

2) Post about 80 postings a day. After one week, third star recieved.

3) To state his view, post VERY graphical images. Even after being warned.

4) Cry and cry again how the rest of the universe misunderstand his, or his countries intentions.

I just say, ban'em!!! Better safe than sorry.

I have often mentioned my discontent for banning people or deleting their comments in the past as well. I have always welcomed open and intelligent debate. Some of the people in this forum that I almost always disagree with the most can easily verify that. But, some manner of control has to be in place. It has become obvious that giving many of you the benefit of the doubt and assuming that you have some measure of maturity is a misplaced credit.
Go back through this short thread and see how my comments are met with the very stupidity I mention.

That is the point front. I really don't care about the anti-american stuff.. yeah.. I am not fond of it, but it has it's place here. When a member decides that every topic and every comment they make has to be an insult to americans.. that is what stinks this forum up.

It is easy to mix controversial opinion with disrespect and insult. I have done so pretty often. I have even resorted to insult. Tip toeing around this forum in an effort to not hurt anyone's feelings is not the result I want. I want to see those savants of idiocy, ignorance and disrespect..shown the door.
I have a suggestion. Maybe (like a bouncer) a mod can be given the abiltiy to ban a member for a period of time. Sort of the way a bouncer tells you that "you can come back next weekend but your out of here tonight." If the stupidity proves uncurable.. banned for life.

After that you will call me pinko-commie-anarchist :) , But I see corelation betwen steping up moderation efforts and agony of inteligent or at least friendly discourse. We made many enemies lately and they will not rest their attempts to make things even worse... Ignorance worked well for last year(s). We had similiar problems with Israelis and Israeli Bashers and we worked this out, to the level that ex-flame worriors are now prised citizens of our forum... I believe that almost noone comes here with bad will. Many people just haven't idea about way of performing disccusions, clulturar differnces, possibilty that other people can have oposite opinion to their own. My idea for mods job is:

0)locking only redundant topics
1)spliting topics when disscusion went on other toppic
2)puting without delay directly linked graphic content into url's with "standard" comment about reasons for doing that this way , sometimes it will take few times for some posters to undestand reasons behind that :)
3)When posts are offensive, remove offensive part add "standard" comment don't delete, if post is plain stupid or not extremly offensive live it without commenting..
4)If post is about controversial thing and surely became flame war create new topic with adequate title with [War in progres] sticker, move there it's replies, add post in orgyinal topic sending all wariors to newly created topic, and forget because they shouldn't stick their heads from it, but if they do, send them back to their sandbox.
5)Being nice and informative :)

IMHO: This will not prevent bashing, flame wars, breaking rules, etc but leave them on acceptable level. If you don't ban them they will learn how to behave, but if you do they willl learn nothing. My opinion is based on strong faith in people :)

Look I usually read over at SOCNET but I do like the IMMENSE coverage this site provides. SOCNET will ban you in a millisecond for insighting flame but this site is a little more loosely controlled which is good....I think?

There are many people who post here that I don't agree with, who post things that I find offensive, etc. But as long as they keep it civil and back up their argument with facts and educated, informed arguments I welcome them. Now he plays dumb. Convenient.

mustamato also finds that place to voice his views of the US but at least allows some words of respect to make their way to his post. His views give me a rash.. but personally, I haven't had beef with him. His attitude and demeanor here is condescending and insulting, but at worst he just seems to force feed his warped hatred to those who don't want to hear it.

I created a post specifically asking for debate on the war on terrorism and mention numerous times my opinion of how Iraq is a key part of that. I restrict the conversation to intelligent opinion and refrain from bogging it down with factoids and media sources. Guess what.. their absence there speaks volumes. When asked to voice their opinion from some kind of intelligent substance... they instead choose to piss on forum members in a different thread.

One reason for that: English is not my native language. I cant take part in that reason discussion because I cant say or write in english what I would possibly in german. I was trying but ended in a fight with my dictionary....
it is annoying to say something intelligent in broken english, you wont be taken serious. Last time I was discussing Iraq in real life with my english teacher(British) he made all points stating there are many chemical weapons there. I had no chance in discussion but better arguments, who was finally right: me
And the war on Terror debate is not related to Iraq, I totally support war against terrorism.
But the attack against Iraq did one thing, it cruelly killed our Idol: The United States

Your ego is killing your credibility.
It is annoying that you have an agenda that is so insulting toward the US. But, that is your position. I can't assume that yours is any less valid than mine.. but we can debate. Your credibility is suspect when your intelligence seems to come and go when it is convenient for you. I don't see you use language as a crutch when you're using a thread like the Fallujah killings as a platform for your obvious bias against the US.

Go read my debate thread.. post your opinion on Iraq there... we have been speaking on it. I don't ask for technical language or proof of your position.. just integrity. Speak from some substance.

Hmmm I suggest you guys take a look on what IDFm203 linked in latest "todays pics" topic. I dont think theres much to discuss, honestly. Thus I dont think that celebrating someones death is a mark of decency nor civilisation - both those Iraqis from Fallujah and Palestinians from Ramallah just dont deserve to be spoken of in other words as beasts. And personally I think unreasonable beasts aren't ever that cruel. :|
