Should I buy Far Cry?

I'm going to the mall toaday and I want to buy a new game, I thnk I mihgt get Far Cry. The demo runs decently on my comp.


Should I buy Far Cry? If not, what game then?

(I don't want battlefield vietnam)

UT2004. INCREDIBLE game! $30 at best buy. nice deal.

don't get far cry yet. i hear it has nice singleplayer but you can always get it later with a better video card. far cry has very little replay value.

splinter cell: pandora tomorrow is a good idea along with UT2k4. :)

i tried the demo of it and i thought they simplified it enough to make the games move quickly. i tried one round and didn't like it. it just didn't seem right to me.

Well, even if FC does only run "OK" on my comp right now, I think I'm gonna get it. ut2k4 is a good game, I really like it, but I just really want FC right now for some reason.

But I'll mak my final choice when I get to the store.

UT2004 is pretty much a 'rerun' of UT2003 with vehicles... FC = the shiznit. (yeah, I've played it)

Besides, I've already completed it a week ago, and the campaign is pretty replayable IMO. Besides, it's gonna be modded like hell.

Actually that’s what I did, launched two grenades and wiped half of them out, though the A.I is that damn impressive that another chopper moved out of the firing line to drop the second team.

Why waste grenades? There's only 3 guys coming from each chopper, so all you gotta do is LAY DOWN and empty that 30 round mag... That should do the trick. ;) Then reload, and do the same with the second chopper. But I gotta agree, the AI is pretty impressive. Most annoying was their rather ass-kicking skill at flanking me. :(

Yup...that's the best thing. Distance. They can't shoot for **** at long range (apart from snipers...and those EXTREMELY ANNOYING rocket launcher guys).

I'd love to give 'em to you, but I've already uninstalled it. (Didn't feel like keeping that 2 GB install around after I completed the game). Besides, my poor graphics card wouldn't do justice to the game anyway. :(
