This is going to be on Channel 4 soon, looks interesting, any takers here?
Taking a bullet for over priveleged footballers and sleazy politicians doesn't appeal to me, but training with firearms does, I'm torn! :cantbeli:

Damn..sounds like an awsome opportunity. I definately like the idea. Too bad it doesn't fit in with my life. I'd be interested to follow the progress though.

A former friend used to do body guard work in and around London, he usually got stuck with some 2nd rate pop group who were always a pain in the arse and had him hanging around shoe shops for three hours. He was sick of it and went back to debt collecting and enforcement he said the money was better, he used to trash raves and then call up the organisers and offer his services for the next event they were running it was very lucrative. ;)

Iam a professional certified protection specialist(CPS). I went to the most extensive course in the US,over 600 hours of schooling and training. The school i went to Executive Security International is the oldest bodyguard school in the US and their courses are college credited and transferrable. I graduated as the honor student and have worked with US Senators,a very high profile Billionaire, and the president of a Fortune 100 company. It is a very difficult business to get into and to keep a job for a long period of time.I just recently got off a 5 month detail in Mexico and iam currently looking for work. Pay is great if and when you get the jobs, luckily for me i do other things related to this business to keep me busy. i really dont like the commercialization of my trade but for the person that wins it is a chance of a lifetime but only for 24hrs.

Well.... hopefully you won't need one. However, there are a number of men on this site whom I would hire in a heartbeat if I ever needed protection. (That's assuming I could afford their services.) ;)

Please list someone YOU would hire as a bodyguard from this forum, and why?
“Cute, adorable, handsome” are not good enough reasons ( for me). ;)

Sounds about right. After many soldiers leave the regiment they go on the circuit. BG work comes thick and fast. The money maybe OK, the hours ****, but you are bored off your arse.
And normaly spend the day doing crap jobs like buying lunch for some spoiled brat.

These are guys that I KNOW have experience (not necessarily doing CP, but doing the kinds of things that I think would qualify them to protect me) If my life was on the line, I wouldn't care if they were the ugliest men on earth.

Tane, Trigger Puller, Argyll, James, Stoli, Beowulf, Uncle Sam, Royal and Deut

I would put my life in any one of these guys hands.... and there are probably others.... these are just ones that I know for sure. I say this in all seriousness.

Ive thought that after the military, doing Protection work would be something i could think of doing. I dont have protection training but i have experience in martial arts and did a few nights working the door at clubs/parties.

Hey... I just want to say that this wasn't my fault! ;) I just answered a question, and I answered it in complete seriousness. Personally, I found it a bit offensive that anyone would question the ability of some of our board members to provide CP. :D
