Please don't go. But I can't say I blame you for wanting to leave.
But I have to say that we need people like you posting good threads and giving well thought out comments, it's what makes this forum worth comming to. It is very sad when someone decides to ruin a perfectly good thread, and sadly it doesn't seem to take much to turn a productive discussion into a worthless flamewar.
If you really have to leave take a time-out or something and come back. I think I speak for all (well everyone sane atleast) when I say that you are always welcome.
Ok so I'm a lousy one-star, but I still felt like I had to write what I did, OK

It sounds like I'm not the only one who would be greatly disappointed to see Royal leave us.
I haven't been a member for as long as many of you, but I have noticed the site ebb and flow several times since I've begun posting.
The only thing I feel I can do is share my concerns with the moderators(which I have).
Also, I think if the level-headed members of this forum(of which there are many) appropriately forwarded rules violations to the moderators for action could have a positive impact....the mods have lives too, and can't be everywhere/always.
I, for one, would happily accept a more aggressive approach from moderators in dealing with rules violations...if the forum members are acting like a bunch of children....then treat us like children, until we can start acting like adults.
If the old and wise geezers like Royal leave enmass, I may have to leave as well and actually do some work ;)

i second that.This forum needs to be brought under control it was not so bout 2 years ago.Royal i feel your pain but as you well know,you will always run into all sorts of human beings in life the best thing to do is just ignore them and maybe they will go away.As for the mods,i think they are doing a great job,they are not getting paid for this so big ups to them.I think what is going on here is that some members actually enjoy the attention they are getting cause of the childish way they are acting.So they are purposefully flaming.Just an observation

Hang in there man...i too felt the same this afternoon when i logged on to find just about every single thread locked. I was shocked, because this is one of the most lenient forums i know as far as locked threads go, and then i had to wade through the bull**** to find any decent threads, but im sure if nothing else this whole mess will be a learning experience for members and moderators of the forum, and could be used to improve the forum in the future.

I might be somewhat newer here, but I really enjoy your postings, Royal.
Been posting on several boards myself and stupidity seems to overtake more and more boards as the years go by.
It's high time decent people take a stand.
If the internet, at the very least, has taught me something, then it would be that stupidity has no boundries.
There are idiotic people from anywhere and everywhere whos post can ruin a good thread in a heartbeat or start a stupid thread that's just aching for deletion.
Just hate to see an intelligent poster leave.
