You obviously haven't had good sausages & hot dogs.

Small, regional producers like Kowalski (http://www8.mailordercentral.com/kowalski/) (in the Metro Detroit/SE Michigan area) produce stuff that is excellent to eat... hot dogs & kielbasa that taste like good meat rather than sh!tty filler (i.e. lips and ass).

There's just no comparison between good sausage and crappy filler sausage.
