And i still can't understand why USA and UK helped this islamic fundametalists(Mujahideens, arab mercenaries,al-qaida members, albanian muslim drugdealers) during the balkan wars.Isn't USA army fighting today against the same islam fundametalists, that they were helping back in Bosnia?Wasn't the terror plan for blowing up civilian filled airplain in UK planned by the same persosns UK helped by all means in Balkans?
Didn't Serbs rescue downed allied pilots(mostly Americans)?Wasn't Serbia, one of the first countries(Draza Mihailovic was the first guerilla in Nazi occupied countries) who resisted germans and helped the allied cause?
Even in WWII Bosnian muslims most of them collaborated with Germans and made up a Waffen SS unit, that commited even more war crimes than Police units of the SS.No comment needed about Albania during WII.No wonder they did the same things in Bosnia and Kosovo.

In that time they are fighting against Soviet army not buildings in the middle of town while people working in them... there is a difference.

Giving some weapons to some muhji's seems like a cheap solution but the muhji's aren't greatfull guy's

True, but that's not the point.

Alliances change. The US fought Germany & Japan in WW2. Now they're allies. Russia was an ally in the same war, then immediately after they were the boogey man. Backing the mujahedin during the Soviet invasion was aimed at indirectly combating communist forces occupying a foreign country. After that was over, the US then got the blowback as they reset their sights on America.
Lesson learned? Don't be surprised when the force you support to attack your enemy spins around to bite you if you're not high on their friend list.

Good video. I had no idea about Jihadists in the Balkans. Looks like Jihad will be the next Communism, albiet on a smaller scale.

Actually bin Laden and Zawahiri didn't unite until 88. bin Laden and Azzam had created al-Qaeda earlier than this. al-Qaeda was first a database of all the foreigners who were fighting in Afghanistan with the Mujahideen compiled by bin Laden and Azzam.

I only meant in the respect of it spreading from country to country, and the West stepping in to intervene. There's Afghanistan and Jihadists who make their way into the Iraqi situation. The US also was backing the none Jihadist faction in Somalia's recent civil war, but staying away from direct involvement. But no where near the same scale as an Eastern Europe, Korea, Vietnam situation.
Good links Anderson, will read em later.

Close....Pakistans ISI.
in 1991/1995 croatians and bosnians were supposed to be both supported by the west against the serbs but bosnian fundamentalists killed bosnian croats as serbs, just watch the video of mudjahedin attack on vitez in 1993..

All sides in this war killed each other, sure they occationally collaborated with one another but mostly hated each others guts.
Were these Jihadies invited into Bosnia or did they come unannounced?

their help was very appreciated by the president Idzadbegovic... I think he's not the only involved in this operation but he approved that, without any doubt....

This is very true. The footage speaks for itself. Izetbegovic was jailed during Tito's time for writing an Islamic Declaration.

that is true...the enemy of my enemy is my friend...Soviet Union is US' enemy..and Mujahideen at Balkan is Soviet's enemy...so US help mujahideen...supplied them weapons...
US and Soviet trying to show that they should conquer this world...so, both of them played their 'role'...

The Croats and Bosniacs didn't sign the Washington Peace Agreement until March 1994 (the war ended in December 1995) - up to that point they were happily fighting and slaughtering each other as well as the Serbs.

HERE COMES THE TRUTH
Bosnia had seperated from Yugoslavia which had the 4th strongest army in the region. (UK, France, Germany). Tito had built the army up.
When Bosnia seperated the UN imposed arms embargo on the Balkans which was very stupid as the Serb forces already had massive amount of weapons. Nato was very slow to react and enter the conflict....therefore The Arab foreign fighters thought it was their duty to help the defenceless people.
YES! EVERYBODY COMMITED ATROCITIES (each side to a certain degree).
Thanks

Read Al Qaida's Jihad in Europe: The Afghan-Bosnian Network by Evan F. Kohlmann.
Most of the gentlemen in question didn't even know where and what Bosnia was - until they saw it was Muslims that were being attacked. It wasn't about helping the innocent and the defenceless. It was about protecting the 'dignity of Islam'. For many it was also about the fact that they couldn't go back to Saudi, Syria, Egypt etc. without being arrested on sight.

And a lot of them are still there....Izabegovic (sp?) gave them bosnian passports and citizenship after the war.

Weather wrong or right this was their view.

hahahaha i really like to read these comments that make no sense....could some of Serbs find that article or video where bosnian general or vice president says that they had that and that many thousands men under arms even before the war started and lot of things like ....and now some moron comes here and says how muslims are innocent and bs like that ....their president even said he will sacrifice his people for independence of Bosnia...also why dont u also watch the video where "innocent" Muslims were killing unarmed Yugoslav army(kids that were 18-19 years old) that were leaving Bosnia .....u have a lot more examples of acts of "innocent" muslimas but some other time....

didn't you know? They supplied the Afghans with Stinger missiles during the Soviet invasion.p-)

Well, Croats also had a habit os massacring groups of Mujahedeens traveling to Bosnia through Croatia, so they would pay them back in Central Bosnia, and then Serbs would step in to save Croats. After Croats massacred Muslims in Ahmici, Muslims started a huge offensive against Croats, so several Serbian brigades had to step in and chase away 7th. Corp and 2nd. Corp of ABiH.
