Hi!
Does anybody have any information about the Iranian built jet fighter "shafaq"? How do you think this fighter will compare with other modern jet fighters?

Looks like a trainer. It seems quite small. I can't imagine they have any useful radar systems that can fit in that tiny nosecone.

Not even their most impressive plane. There F14s were much more useful in military conflicts in the past such as the war with Iraq in the 80s.

ie just an advanced trainer with secondary light ground attack/counter-insurgency/last-ditch light day fighter roles. Bit like our Hawk (though I think the new ones are losing those secondary capabilities).
