Another action of polish forces: 22 terrorists captured.
During the firefight 4 of them were wounded-one of them died in a hospital. Captured terrorists are accused of bomb-attacks in Karbala.

is this the first time Polish soliders were invloved in gun battle with enemy? or were there previous occasions?

That kind of firefights are pretty often in Polish zone lately.

is this the first time Polish soliders were invloved in gun battle with enemy? or were there previous occasions?I think is not the first time.Few hours before this action polish patrol was atacked by enemys.Polish soldiers opened fire but enemys run away.BTW few weeks ago suicide terrorist(bus driver) trying hit ours soldiers in checkpoint,he was killed by them.Regards.

Polish soldiers have been involved in firefights since the begining (july 2003). My friend who served in the first tour was involved in some fights too (he returned in january).

yep. But this time 22 captured (1 dead 2 wounded severly) no loses on coalition side :-)

Those guys were involved in suicide atacks assasinations of civilians coperationg with coalition assasination of policemans and probably many more atacks, 2 of them were non iraqi and most of them were not native to rhis region (they were from the north from sunni triangle)
