Great pics.

Are those 20mm on the Mustang? I thought the P51 had the cannons all integral with the wings.

Smashing. VERY good.

I think that's a very early prototype P51 with the Liberty engine - 1942, don't think it entered service much before Jan 1944.

Thank you guys for the nice comments. You guys are so good at posting great things it's rare to find something worthy of contributing.....so I am honored to be able to share something here.

The woman riveting panels impresses me....her hands are nicely manicured....yet she has a heavy airtool and is doing her part for the greater effort.

What's odd is I have been to Paris Island quite a few times in my life and never knew there was an airfield???

The gliders were used to train Marines, right?! At least in my country they start flying in the gliders.
