Question about medal....

I recently came across a medal that I'm trying to find some more information on. As far as I can tell, it's a liberation medal and it has the name Picardie on the medal itself. The medal is a five pointed star with a shield on the front. If somebody can help me out with any other information about it, it would be much appreciated, Thanks.

Any Writing on the back etc?

there was no ribbon and there is no writing on the back.
