I haven't been posting much lately since I've been extremely busy getting everything in order before heading to Asia with my wife for a long overdue vacation, but didn't want to leave with out say goodbye.

We are leaving earlier(though not unexpectedly) than planned and heading to California tomorrow to attend Colonel Bank's funeral and then will fly to Hawaii to see friends before departing on our journey.

Our plans are to return home in late October.....I don't expect to be posting until then. Adios

I thought I'd post a short story for you young bucks to ponder as I head off into the sunset.

An old farmer in Oklahoma had owned a large farm for several years.
He had a large pond in the back, fixed up nice; picnic tables, horseshoe courts, basketball court, etc.

The pond was properly shaped and fixed up for swimming when it was built.

One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there for a while, and look it over.

As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny dipping in his pond.

He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end of the pond.

One of the women shouted to him, "We're not coming out until you leave!"

The old man replied, "I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked." "I'm here to feed the alligator."

Moral: Old age and cunning will triumph over youth and enthusiasm every time.

Have a good one, 11F5S.

Militaryphotos.net will (hopefully) still be here when you get back. :D

Be careful of those mosquitoes down there, bring lots of repellent (napalm?) or a fairly large fly swatter.

Yes but when does senility come into play?

Best wishes on your trip!

11F5S, Have a nice safe vacation. I had met the good Colonel on many occasions. I was gonna head down about an hour for me to visit my Grandmother and pay my respects but I just find out I have to leave tomorrow for training out of state. If I dont hear from you before you get back take care and be safe!!
