Sigh!
If I only could get my hands on a Sako M95 one day, my life would become so much better.

Yes it is a swedish boat (i dont know what model) and those men's are finnish coastal rangers from Uusimaa brigade.
That picture was taken during Nordic peace training wich was in Sweden in 2002.

The boat is a swedish CB90, and no, there are no swedish rangers visible in the pics.

I know that:) But i have pics which i will maybe post with swedish and finnish coastal rangers on stridsbåt90. CB90 is the export/english name for it.

cb90 is what the manufacturer calls it, just like cv9040 which is called stridsfordon90 by the army.

on the last pic, whats the use of camoflauge when you got a set of traffic lights on your head? Just begging for a sniper to get him.

Anyways, just kidding. Anyone know the real purpose for that thing on the heltmet? Looks reflective, I have no idea how something like that could help any soldier trying to blend into his surroundings, or is that for their training exercise?

It's some sort of MILES, Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System, used for simulated battle.

It's a Personnel Detection Device for laser simulation system made by Saab for the Finnish Defence Forces. It's called here "Taistelijan simulaattori" (Soldiers simulator).

ah good, thats what I thought it was after I posted. There is no way that could help anyone outside of a training exercise, thanks for the response guys ;)

Its like laserdome, but hell more developed. You can simulate anything from tanks to medics at real long ranges.

Acctually i think it IS MILES, i seem to recall saab developed it.. but i could be wrong.

Ive often thought this would be a great alternative to paintballing if it could be legalised.Loads of money to be made.
