What if your friend was arrested for evading arrest and was caught with two bb guns when he was patted down? what would be the normal punishment? and he has also charges of destruction of property. he also is 14.

Community service or time in juvi. More likely time in juvi. Right now it looks as if he has the following charges against him
Evading arrest
Possesion of a weapon ( 2 counts)
Possesion of a concealed weapon (2 counts)
Destruction of property
Criminal mischeif (sp)
They might also hit him with intent charges, since he was caught with 2 concealed weapons. Defenetly not looking good for him.

Where was he busted? Laws, and their punishments vary from place to place. Does he have any priors? Was he a total prick while be arrested, etc. Hell, the judge and DA may be into Zero Tolerance, in that case your friend is screwed. Need more details.

Sounds like you need to have a good long talk with your "Friend" about self respect and that of the law. Always remember you can outrun a vehicle but not a radio.

If the laws are anything like the state of Colorado your friend is going to be picking up trash for about 300 hours on the weekends. if this is anything other than his first offense he will be in juvi for 8 weeks. the BB gun issue could be a real ball-buster for him...good thing he can change his ways before the consequences are too damaging for his future.

X2, He'll most likely get a slap on the wrist and his parents will have to pay for any property he messed up, but the longer he keeps this sh*t up the harsher his punishments will be in the future.

The thing that makes me think he will not just get a slap on the wrists is that Jersey is already pushing for airsoft legislation. The fact that this kid has possibly 4 counts of carrying a weapon, and the fact that they may hit him with intent charges makes me think he will be spending a couple of weeks in juvi.

That's a bitch,and the guy who is pressing charges is a big pussy. Like some said, it won't be too damaging for his future, one thing for sure it will make him stronger. My guess he won't be getting a slap on the wrist unless of couse he comes from a rich and preferably white family with proper connexions.

Your friend should try to deal with the owner outside of court...if the owner will consider not breaking it off in him. Maybe his parents can fix the guy's door or hire someone.

Either way here he'd be doing some time.

I see some type of fine,probation, record sealed when this is over and done with. If the kid gets a decent lawyer I see a settlement for repairs along with some other stuff. Being it's his first offense,and some laweerese about the "stolen"game. Something's gonna happen if not much. unless they make an issue of the bb guns...then he's fcuked for a bit.
