These were taken during Ex. Stalwart Guardian - August 2003 at CFB Petawawa, Ontario.

Initially I was assigned a C9, so we were at the range zeroing them in.

There were 3 phases to the FTX; first we were to have a Live Fire Defensive Op. Here, the Armoured are pulling back as we wait for the assault. I was moved from C9 to #2 on the platoon C6... don't ask.

Lunch time after digging our trenches. mmmmm IMPs....

The #1 on the C6 taking a nap.

Went through 8 boxes in I forget how much time fighting, wasn't too long
(tracers taken out to prevent the precious Petawawa grass from being set on fire... even though the .50cal was firing all tracers...).

The second phase was a Live Fire 'Ambush' which was more of a blocking op in the woods because we obviously couldn't have a patrol moving along the road :P

Then, we had a nice helicopter assault and attacked the FIBUA site with Simunition. That was pretty fun, but anyone who has used Simunition will know how much of a burden the masks can be... especially in the confusion with FIBUA.

That's about it really. I have a few more photos and all of these in HiRes if anyone wants/needs them. Just PM me :)

These were all taken with a crappy disposable camera, but I have a nice new digital that I might risk taking into the field next FTX and bring back some more photos.

That's the Reserves.

Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders of Canada (Princess Louise's) - an Infantry Regiment located in Hamilton, Ontario.

This was an exercise for all the Army Reserve units in the Central Area.

Nope, never been out west with the Army.

I'm probably moving to Saskatoon in October there and transfer to the North Saskatchewan Regiment (I would rather remain an Argyll though :(), so I might be going to those bases.

Yep, probably going... got one of those bumper stickers :P I'm with 31 LIB (Green hehe).

We were in the butts there for sighting the C9s. The C7s went to their range to sight their weapons and we were at another range. As far as I know, everyone in our Company did it.

Have you seen the official Stalwart Guardian Photo Gallery?
