I don't recommend that particular shop, it was just the first one I found.

Im looking for leg holster.
Hello brother. I propose for you the following holsters which I've ALREADY USED with my Glock 22 (same size with your Glock 17) for duty purposes and I was 100% satisfied:
Fobus tactical speed holster aprox $40.00
Found HERE (http://www.botac.com/fotaspho.html)
http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/botach_1912_69782382
Fobus roto tactical holster aprox $40.00
Found HERE (http://www.botac.com/fobusroto.html)
http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/botach_1915_204035202
The above two Fobus holsters ARE NOT leg holsters (as you asked for) but they are the ONLY Fobus holsters can accept ANY tac light. I've already tested with Glock's GTL-10 (http://www.glock.gr/_images/_flashlight.jpg) and GTL-21/22 (http://www.glock.gr/_images/_flashlight.jpg) series, with Streamlight/Insight technologies M-3X (http://www.streamlightdirect.com/streamlight%20M3X.htm), M-3, M-6X and M-6 series, and finaly with Surefire's X-200 (http://www.popguns.com/surefire_lights/surefirex200led.htm) tactical lights. Nooooooo problem in any combination!
Safariland 6004 tactical holster WITH light aprox $120.00
http://www.athenapolicesupply.com/ProductImages/safariland/S691265_p1.jpeg
The above Safariland 6004 (http://www.athenapolicesupply.com/ProductImages/safariland/S691265_p1.jpeg) holster is a leg holster (as you asked for) but can ONLY accept the Streamlight/Insight technologies M-3X (http://www.streamlightdirect.com/streamlight%20M3X.htm), M-3, M-6X and M-6 series tactical lights (remember to ask the 'with light' type and specify exact light model before ordering).
Blade-Tech tactical light leg holster aprox $120.00
Found HERE (http://www.blade-tech.com/Tactical-Light-Holster-w-Tek-Lok-pr-953.html)
http://www.blade-tech.com/product_images/t_953.jpg
The above Blade-Tech holster is a leg holster (as you asked for) but can ONLY accept the Surefire's X-200 (http://www.popguns.com/surefire_lights/surefirex200led.htm) tactical light.
Blade-Tech tactical light leg holster aprox $120.00
Found HERE (http://www.blade-tech.com/Level-2-Tactical-Holsters-w-light-attachments-Loops-pr-850.html)
http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/1937/bladetechandgtl0nf.jpg
The above Blade-Tech holster is a leg holster (as you asked for) but can ONLY accept the Glock's GTL-10 (http://www.glock.gr/_images/_flashlight.jpg) and GTL-21/22 (http://www.glock.gr/_images/_flashlight.jpg) series tactical lights (remember to specify exact light model before ordering).
NOTE: The Safariland and Blade-Tech holsters are also available in olive drab, desert, khaki etc colours.
I personaly own all the above types and the pinal pick is done according the task. The Fobus holster are best used while in civilian clothing and the other types when tactical. Feel free to check HERE (http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/image.php?u=15649&dateline=1140159656&type=profile).
Thnx bro for comprehensive answer. I have glock gtl11 tactical light, I talked with my colleague from another unit and he told me about fobus leg holster with tac light possibility, so I try to find it. I will see that holster in couple days (i hope) and yes I need for tactical use.
once more thnx for your answer.

My opinion is that the Fobus (http://www.botac.com/fotaspho.html) holsters are not suitable for tactical purposes. They can be combined with ANY tactical light or laser (or both) and the pistol fits very well into the holster, but you cannot draw the pistol from the holster as quick as you should do! For example, you can easily succeed a 'zero-time' draw from the holster when using the Blade-Tech (http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/1937/bladetechandgtl0nf.jpg) or Safariland 6004 (http://www.athenapolicesupply.com/ProductImages/safariland/S691265_p1.jpeg) holsters (these holsters are also equiped with thumb break lock, but can perfectly used without any problem without it!). You cannot succeed a 'zero-time' draw from the holster when using the Fobus (http://www.botac.com/fotaspho.html) holster. That's because the pistol should not be pulled UP (as usual) to be extracted... but pushed to the DOWN-REAR, which might be a problem for some users.
I would advice you to test (if possible) the holsters before attemping to buy and finaly decide which holster is OK for you, according your duty (or other) needs. I personaly find the Fobus (http://www.botac.com/fotaspho.html) holster not suitable for SWAT members and I think it would be funny to use the Blade-Tech (http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/1937/bladetechandgtl0nf.jpg) or Safariland 6004 (http://www.athenapolicesupply.com/ProductImages/safariland/S691265_p1.jpeg) leg holsters when wearing plain/civilian cloths and tie.

My friend SMGLee (http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/member.php?u=2234), please note that the Safariland 6305 (http://www.southernpoliceequipment.com/media/Products/Duty%20Gear/6305_l.jpg) holster cannot be combined with a tactical light. As UFo (http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/member.php?u=15281) said, he got the Glock 17 pistol with a GTL-10 (http://www.glock.gr/_images/_flashlight.jpg) series tactical light on it. The Safariland 6004 (http://www.athenapolicesupply.com/ProductImages/safariland/S691265_p1.jpeg) holster could be OK, but it can ONLY accept the Streamlight/Insight technologies M-3X (http://www.streamlightdirect.com/streamlight%20M3X.htm), M-3, M-6X and M-6 series tactical lights.
For the above reasons, I proposed the Blade-Tech (http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/1937/bladetechandgtl0nf.jpg) (Glock's GTL-10 (http://www.glock.gr/_images/_flashlight.jpg) tactical light compatible) holster for a SWAT member or a Fobus tactical (http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/botach_1912_69782382) (ANY tactical light compatible) holster when wearing plain/civilian cloths and tie.

Nick do you have some well-tried e-shops with blade-tech holsters here in europe?
I got mine directly from the States. Try to navigate into Blade-Tech's official site (http://www.blade-tech.com). To help you more, my Glock 22 (same size with your Glock 17) with GTL-10 tactical light leg holster is THIS (http://www.blade-tech.com/product_images/d_158.jpg), which can be found HERE (http://www.blade-tech.com/Tactical-Thigh-holsters-W-Light-pr-878.html). I think that this is what are you looking for. The Glock option ofcourse!
http://www.blade-tech.com/product_images/d_158.jpg
Level II Tactical Thigh holster, with our standard thumbreak system. This holster comes with an adjustable drop loop, two adjustable leg straps and an injection molded thigh plate that is flexable for comfort but still adds a strong support for your Gun and light combo. (Picture is with optional sheath and mag pouch.)
Price: $124.95
If you finaly decide which exact model do you need (remember to be sure about the exact model because you have multiple choices and alternative details into their on-line catalog), try to contact with them (as far as I remember their e-mail is info@blade-tech.com (info@blade-tech.com)) and ask for more infos about seting an order, payment options etc. You can also use their on-line contact form (http://www.blade-tech.com/help.php?section=contactus&mode=update). The Blade-Tech FAQ index (http://www.blade-tech.com/help.php?section=FAQ), would be also very usefull for your questions.
Mr. Bobby Mcgee, who is the Blade-Tech customer service manager, will guide you and answer kindly to your questions (he did for me). Be aware that (back in 2001) they used to have an about a 2 to 3 week production time (because US armed forces needs in Iraq & Afghanistan), so it would be approximately 2 to 3 weeks before the holster will be ready to ship. Be also aware that the international shipping & handling charges from US to Europe would be aprox $30.00

Yes.. the Light.... That is too bad. 6305 is probably the best tactical holster I have ever used.
I am waiting on a 1911 with surefire mil-light option to be released soon.

Yes.. the Light.... That is too bad. 6305 is probably the best tactical holster I have ever used. I am waiting on a 1911 with surefire mil-light option to be released soon.
I first got and used the Blade-Tech (http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/1937/bladetechandgtl0nf.jpg) leg holster (made by kydex) I explained before, which is combined with the Glock's GTL-22 (http://www.glock.gr/_images/_flashlight.jpg) tactical light w laser (similar to GTL-10 (http://www.glock.gr/_images/_flashlight.jpg) UFo (http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/member.php?u=15281) got). The problem was the only 60 lumens brightness I got with this GTL-22 (http://www.glock.gr/_images/_flashlight.jpg) tactical light. The Surefire's X-200 (http://www.popguns.com/surefire_lights/surefirex200led.htm) tactical light option, gives only 60 lumens brightness too!
So, I tried the Streamlight/Insight technologies M-3X (http://www.streamlightdirect.com/streamlight%20M3X.htm) tactical light on my Glock 22 with 125 lumens brightness which seemed enough for me. Unfortunatelly, I had to change leg holster too! So, I did. I'm currently using the Safariland 6004 (http://www.athenapolicesupply.com/ProductImages/safariland/S691265_p1.jpeg) leg holster (with tactical light) as described before.
My personal opinion is that the Blade-Tech (http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/1937/bladetechandgtl0nf.jpg) leg holster seems to be more nice and easy to use for me than the Safariland 6004 (http://www.athenapolicesupply.com/ProductImages/safariland/S691265_p1.jpeg) leg holster (both made by kydex). If it would be in my hand, i would create a Blade-Tech quality leg holster with Streamlight/Insight technologies M-3X (http://www.streamlightdirect.com/streamlight%20M3X.htm) tactical light combination.

You cant compare any Fobus POS to a Safariland holster. Fobus = injection molded plastic crap.
Ok gents, thanks to you I choose finaly Safariland 6004 leg holster. I tried Fobus holster but it was a huge disappointment for me. Very noisy near drawing the pistol, very noisy near putting in holster, bad fixing on the leg etc,etc.....
So I bought Safariland 6004 and Im glad I listen to you. thnx.
here is couple pics of my holster (http://www.wingchun.sk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=5136#5136)

Ufo, got a tip for you - I see you got a newer series Safari, with injection molded paddle (older series had the Kydex paddle laminated with suede, as the inside of the holster is, there were some other diffrences as well, althought both are intercompatible). From my experience the old paddle lined with suede worked better, stability and non-slidewise than the new, plain one without it. If any of your friends has the old version give it a try and compare, then if you like it just glue some suede to the inner side of the paddle, should work better.
Catch thnx for your tip, I will test the holster in february, so if it will be "fly" on the leg, now I know what to do.
thnx.

Now, if you want to make it even better, adjust it to where it rides up about 50 per cent higher on your leg. You might even want to take the top leg strap off, even though I still leave mine on. Now, you can run with it on.

G9 is right on. Most guys wear it "high ride", even modding the paddles or buying the single-strap versions. Unless your vest is overpacked with pouches and stuff its much better to have it this way, kinda "western style".
