A Dallas doctor believes he was the victim of a road rage shooting near his home. He asked News 8 not to identify him, but he told police another driver fired nine shots at his luxury car, yesterday, in East Dallas.

At least four bullets made contact with the car.

It happened around 2:00 yesterday afternoon as the doctor was driving toward his home near Vickery and Warcola. A car ahead of him had stopped at a stop sign but wasn’t moving. The doctor says he honked his horn once at the driver. Then, he says, the other driver “whipped around the stop sign so we were almost face-to-face and he started firing at my windshield,” he recalled.

The doctor said the other driver raised a 9-mm semi-automatic handgun through his sunroof and opened fire. The doctor tried to shake the attacker, but the shooter followed him through the neighborhood. He was finally able to lose the shooter near Greenville Avenue.

The doctor says he was on the phone with 911 during the ordeal.

He was not hurt, but he was shaken up.

If the gun was not there it would of been some other object that would of been use for a weapon.

Stop the lies, no one has ever used a blunt weapon to inflict bodily harm. Before firearms were invented everyone just got really mad, held their breath, and counted to ten in order to solve their problems.

I remember years ago where I had to race away from a couple of guys in my convertable beetle. They were chasing me and my ex down all the while throwing coins at me while hanging out of their windows. The only thing that saved us was the fact my car was dropped to the floor and handled corners like it was on rails. I was able to take a roundabout at high speed where as their Ford Sierra could not and they had to take one of the exits.

Long story short Road Rage is a killer they need to ban it.

Socialization is a big problem. If you don't teach people to be good citizens who love the country & respect each others as fellow citizens, then there will be violence... it doesn't have to be with the gun. It can be with a bomb, a hijacked airplane, or something as unsophisticated as one's two fists.

We can be silly and ban all guns, but it doesn't erase the underlying issues of hatred of & contempt towards our fellow Americans.
