A Dallas doctor believes he was the victim of a road rage shooting near his home. He asked News 8 not to identify him, but he told police another driver fired nine shots at his luxury car, yesterday, in East Dallas.
At least four bullets made contact with the car.
It happened around 2:00 yesterday afternoon as the doctor was driving toward his home near Vickery and Warcola. A car ahead of him had stopped at a stop sign but wasn’t moving. The doctor says he honked his horn once at the driver. Then, he says, the other driver “whipped around the stop sign so we were almost face-to-face and he started firing at my windshield,” he recalled.
The doctor said the other driver raised a 9-mm semi-automatic handgun through his sunroof and opened fire. The doctor tried to shake the attacker, but the shooter followed him through the neighborhood. He was finally able to lose the shooter near Greenville Avenue.
The doctor says he was on the phone with 911 during the ordeal.
He was not hurt, but he was shaken up.
