Step aside everyone, its another american movie, and yes, the americans are the heroes, again.
How'd you find this film? I especially like the part where they storm the entire village with pistols. :|
Any of you notice the pictue on the back of the movie case? Bruce Willis holding an m4 that fires on its own. If you haven't, next time you're at a video store, pick up a copy and see what I'm talking about.

I saw it. It was a pretty good action flick but it was no ultra-realistic war movie. Don't act like it's supposed to be.

It sucked incredibly hard.
In the beginning it was very very promising (kind of like behind enemy lines), but then came
all these incredibly bad action scenes with them assaulting and killing of the entire enemy army.
The story was kind a lame too of course.

None of them are, except Saving Private Ryan, what an excellent movie that was, I actually bought 2 copies of it, after my little brother spilled coke all over the case, I just had to have a brand new one. woot

Had it been real, the story would only have lasted about the first 20 minutes, IMHO.
Just a thought.

I thought it was ok. I didn't expect nothing special. It's not a film at which you'd say "That is one of the greatest war films ever!"
Saving Private Ryan on the other hand. Don't get me started there. D Day landing was brilliant, the rest........... pants! How can a Thompson have the firepower of an M2 Browning?

Give it a longer barrel and a .50 BMG receiver? ;)

1. if the barrel had been so long, it would be a bitch to carry that thing an hour let alone a war
2. the barrel remained the same length, the guy would had broken his shoulder on the recoil and the only thing he'd be able to hit would be any aircraft or birds that were in the sky at the time. :D

Hell no! Bruce WIllis had his aimpoint at the wrong direction, what a pussyass. Anyway, good idea for a movie - but it sucked ass.

I know it's very British to have it raining all the time, but don't do it on my parade okay?

So u hate, the entire film, because Willis had his aimpoint backwards? If we measured how good a film is by the number of mistakes in them then Black Hawk Down or Saving Private Ryan would have been really worse then Tears of the Sun.
Btw I prefer Tears of the Sun to BHD anyday!

There's a parade on?
Yeah... it's the little-known "j00 c4n m4k3 a .50 BMG Th0mps0n!!!!!!!!111111111111"-parade.

Yeah...by starting to use reason and common sense. Those two things are like kryptonite to cyberparades.

I like Tears Of The Sun, because, well Haiw (and a few others) knows why...
Seriously, it's an ok film. See it as more of a action film than war movie, some good scenes in it (eg Mk23s vs. Whole Village Of Soldiers), and then some pretty crap ones. Kind of how S.W.A.T. is IMO.

Oh, ok. Ever heard of "Live Organ Donations"?
Sounds like a nice reality show.
Gringo

Yeah, we go to someones house who has donated an organ after he's dead. We say "We need yer liver, mate", and he says "But I'm not dead yet, I'm supposed to donate my liver when I'm dead", and then we say "You'll be dead by the time we get yer liver mate". And then we take his liver from him while ever so slightly alive, so it's nice and fresh for the people who need it most, George Best. He's had 9 of 'em all ready.

I have been looking for that pic on the net so i can hot link it to this site, it's the worst piece of photoshop i have ever seen! He is running, aiming at the ground, his finger is on the trigger guard, and he's looking the wrong way. Some dumb ass decided to put muzzle flash on that for some reason!! It's laughable.

The case looks bad the reviews seemed bad so I won't waste £1 on renting it even for 2 nights, plenty of other good films out there, My fave is The Thin Red Line though I do have a thing about Sniper but Sniper 2 was a soiled nappy of a film.
