I'm going to see it Friday. And it better be good too. That cocksuck Brian De Palma owes me big time for Snake Eyes. I paid $6.25 to sit through that corn encrusted turd. But everything I've read about Dahlia so far is that it's the one to see. I'm looking forward to it.

What is it about?
It's about this murder that happened in 1947 where a struggling actress was found sliced in half and mutilated. The murderer has never been found.

Specifically, its based on a pulp mystery book by James Ellroy that revolves around the murder.

The same writer of the famed LA Confidential.

I'm looking forward to it. If mroe movies are made based on Ellroy's books, they should do "American Tabloid" and "The Cold Six THousand".

Josh Hartnett still looks like a kid wearing his dad's clothes to me. Hard for me to take him seriously as a tough guy. But Scarlett Johansson.....whuahahhhaah >shivers<

I agree. Somehow, he pulled it off in BHD (for me), but in his other movies, he just doesn't look right.

But Scarlett Johansson.....whuahahhhaah >shivers<She's pretty... but something about her annoys the sh!t out of me when she opens her yapper.

And Hollywood making stories about Hollywood... or Lawyers who can't find "gainful" employment as Lawyers writing yet another television Lawyer drama... or hack Doctors writing yet another television Doctor drama... it would take a hell of a lot for that sort of thing to get me interested in it.

Scarlett has amazing breasts though. Josh Hartnett even looks pretty in the damned poster. He's really not cut out to be a hard ass detective type. They needed a young Harrison Ford or someone like that. Now that I think of it, are there even any tough guy type leading men around in movies anymore?

This murder had it all back in the day, ***, mutilated corpse, dirty pictures and ****os, she even had a tattoo.

And Hollywood making stories about Hollywood...

It's based on a true story.

I have two words for Scarlett... ball gag. She is pretty, but also pretty annoying, IMO.

As for tough guy types... haven't they v6mustang'ed up the Hollywood male?

There's no such thing as tough guys these days... we celebrate guys who can cry... and the Metro****** look is "in"... and rugged individualism is kind of going out of style, IMO.

It's based on a true story.
... but it's about actresses or whatever.

It's like Lawyers writing a Law drama... it might be true & realistic, but I personally am not that interested in more of Hollywood telling stories about the "dark side of acting".

Hartnett's opening scene in Sin City is the best part of that film for me.

No way on Josh in Sin City.

Hilary looks good in stills, but I don't care for her chisled look. She was cuter pre-Karate Kid III when she had a little softness about her.

Scarlet... hubba hubba.

As for the Black Dahlia, I'm looking forward to it. I dig CSI / forensic type shows and read a lot of stuff on Crime Library (http://www.crimelibrary.com/notorious_murders/famous/dahlia/index_1.html)include this. More graphic photos are online someplace, but I'm not digging for them.

I hate when a crime goes unsolved! :)

Wow what a waste of 17bucks and 2hours. I want my damn money and time back. Was at the matinee...less than 20people at the show. One guy actually walked out. When the end credits rolled up...you can hear the sigh of relief from the audience.

Skip this one!

X10! This was very very disappointing. The whole "Black Dahlia" thing is a side story.

I'll wait for it to hit HBO.
