In light of the manual / automatic thread
I thought this might be interseting.

Can you also say what sort of car it is, So we can mock people that hink their car is RWD when it isnt!.

Ive got a VW polo FWD.
and a GT6 RWD

For fun, RWD all the way. For everyday use, AWD. Best for your budget is FWD.

I have AWD with infinitely flexible coupling, i.e. it's on-demand 4WD. Normally 90% front - 10% back, but will vary all the way to 50/50.

i drive an Alfa fWD and i think that FWD is the best all-around car when you live on a small island as i do :)
but for fun My father own an old Lotus Europe from the late 60ies the car is an mid-engine rear wheel drive it have an engine from Renault (1470cc 82 hk) And damn that car is fun to drive the only thing i can complain about is that the steering wheel is on the wrong side

I have a FWD Ford Mondeo, which is a rather reasonable choice. But next one will be something with permanent AWD as we've got some serious winters here, it helps a lot.

I've got a Subaru Impreza AWD.

It's great, I drive the thing in the rain like it's dry, everyone else is tiptoeing about and I'm blasting around town like it's a bright sunny day.

and a GT6 RWD
I want one.

I've got a fwd honda right now, but I had lots of fun with my 4x4 S-10 blazer until I sold it. I'm seriously considering selling my Del Sol and getting a 2wd Ural before I move to California.

Im jsutinterested to see if half these people know what drives their car. after a bloke at work told me the transmission tunnel in a FWD was for the prop shaft!

Subaru Vivio FWD, excellent for city use.

And I would die for a Lada Niva 4WD. Drive it and you'll understand! :)

Lada Niva are excellent I concur.

They have instructions etched on the battery box for starting the car in -30*

Ive never tried that, but Ive seen them do a 1/3 with all four wheels spinning.

AWD 55-rear/ 45-front power dist, 250+ Hp ( I say plus because it's at Stage 1 and before the end of the year Stage 2)

No better look on a bimmer driver's face than when a lowly wagon out accelerates him onto the freeway.

4thPointOfContact, there's a Citroen AX sport here that beats Impreza GT turbo in 1st gear roll. It weights 700kg and has 130hp (0-100 in 6.5sec and the mileage is 1l./12km.).
Pretty funny to see that ugly thing beats a car that costs 15 times more.

I currently don't own a car, but I usualy drive a Mazda 6 FWD.

AWD = Audi A4 Avant 2.8 Quattro.

I'd always prefer an AWD. Maybe not the funniest way to drive, but probably the most useful one.
