One question, on the side saddle of the shotgun, what types of rounds are those? I have been out of the leadsoft arena for a while now and don't recall seeing any with black brass and white/grey plastic.

I have been running a prototype 553 in dark earth since March of this year, I just recently rceived this production 553 in black. I have been putting it through the paces and it is a very good red dot and it is everything that a red dot should be.

The sight has a dual ARMS throw lever, uses CR123 batteries that extend the life to 1500 hours, it sits a bit higher to sit the front iron at the lower 3rd of the optic window, black out internal so no what so ever reflection can be seen from the muzzle side, upgraded electronics, and a dive rate of 66ft for unspecified time. the battery compartment is tattered to the body of the sight, and stainless steel dials to further enhance durability.

It is a Blue Force Gear CIRAS compatible sling, the sling is weaved into the vest as part of the system. they also make a single point sling using the same connector. It is called the UDC...User Determine Connection. This sling can be mate with webbing(what I use), HK snap hook and a few other I can't remember right now.

Initially EOTech had some teething poblems with the base that incorporate the throw lever but that was a year and half ago. the sight that have been shipped to the military are all working well and without any problems. I have not heard nor does anyone at EOTech heard of a recallon the 553.
