Sweden will no longer suffer under a socialistic government. Atleast not for 4 years. The Moderates together with the other three "Alliance parties" completed the task. Thank god for that, and I think that from now on Sweden, in due time, will be a more prosporus country.

Cheers!

If it's anything like the US, hopefully not, nothing really changes after
a shift in power from one party to another. Taxes vary a bit, services
get ever increasing funds at varying rates of increase, government
expands and our civil liberties ebb away like beachfront property.

Good luck to Sweden.

Is social stability not enough for you? I always thought of contries such as Sweden, Norway and Finland as models for social stability.

But of course if you are looking for Sweden to become a world political player, than i see why youd be happy.

Quite simple really. This system is about to turn on it's self. It can only last for so long. We need this change. Very odd that people confuse loss of social stability and the aim for a more fruitfull future where the goal is to have people working for a living, and in that way also make sure that we have the finances to support public school, health care, police etc. etc.

My 0.2.

Congratulations.

I recently read the total tax burden was a point or two under 60% of GDP in Sweden, and would need to be doubled to sustain the current welfare state ( I can't help but think of poor, old Boxer saying "I will work harder" ). The unsustainability of Socialism has been pushed to extreme limits in Sweden, and if nothing else you guys should get a medal for being able to stretch out something so long that was destined to fail from day 1. In lieu of medals, more economic freedom will just have to do :)

Given how well you guys have done with an unsustainable system, and depending on how much real reform you can manage to accomplish (prying a baby off a teat he's been at too long can be difficult), you should be able to make up a lot of ground in a short period.

I'll say what I said before. I don't like any of the partys, but I REALLY don't have any trust for Reinfelt and co.

I guess that you neither trust the former guys that have succeded with the feat of doing worse now, in the top of a boom than for 4 years ago?

Fair enough bro. But I really think we should give Reinfeldt & co. the chance to turn this elephant arround. We have to be patient aswell I think.

Too late for Sweden or any other socialists nation...even the United States, to go back to practical, self sufficient government. Once the people have taken the dole...they are hooked like drug addicts to heroin.MM

Surely the Rich can afford to pay a tax rate of 120% !
