anyone know of any programs that can be used to mask an email address? nothing that hides the ICQ or anything...just something that can make up an address and have that be the sending address....i got an idea....

You could use GhostMail...but anyone with a brain can still trace the mailserver you used. So basically, it's good for jokes, but don't try to do anything serious with it or they'll easiliy bust your ass.

Bomb threats sure are fun or are you planning on stalking an ex-girlfriend?
Let me just get my electrical tape and best of Uriah Heap mix tape.

I you have a unix box [ linux/solaris/bsd ] or one you can access that has sendmail you can do this..

make a file with the following format:

from: <address >
to: <address >
subject: <subject >

--message body--

save it and execute this thru command line

#sendmail -t < message file

the from address will appear whatever you put it.

Can't connect to the server? You're supposed to let it use your own mailserver.

Shouldn't matter. As long as it's a normal functioning mailserver. It worked perfectly with mine.
