hmmwv look great during peace time, then all of a sudden someone starts shooting holes in them and you have a big problem. i read somewhere (this site?) that the people with the most "road time" in iraq are the civial affair units who dive around in unarmed hmmmwv. 4x4 capibilities don't add up to a hill of beans in urban warfare.

there is liley some validity to the CA teams but some units have up armoreds some do not, some have add on kits - some do not.
The bulk of the vehicle threat is from rpgs and there are not many light wheeled vehicles that will stop it.

"There may have been as many as a dozen Marine deaths," the official said, adding that "a significant number" of Iraqis were killed.
2 days. Kick the media out of Fallujah for 2 days. ARC Light the whole f*cking place. Problem solved.
As a friend of mine once said...
I'm a guy. I kill stuff, I f*ck women, and I drink to be able to withstand the senselessness of it all. Nowhere in my genetic makeup has "make things pretty" been prioritized by the relentless forces of evolution.
Suuuuure... clean Fallujah from the map. That's a city with 500 000 people we're talking here. What do you think the rest of the country is gonna do when you're wiping that entire town off the map? Sit by and watch? But wait, if they start an uprising as a result of your little cleaning action...we'll just wipe them off the map as well! Untill there isn't a single town left in Iraq. Which means there is no one left to participate in any uprisings. My god...you're a genius!

Wipe a town off the map and your asking what the rest of the country would do? Well i guess you are like most liberals in that you are not aware of history. Why am I not surprised? In 1945 we destroyed two whole cities in japan. What happened? was there an uprising against us when we came in? No what happened was the entire japanese military went silent and surrendered. Now you can be a moron and argue your little liberal ways about how Iraq is "totally different from Japan" and I would say your right in that the Iraqis are LESS fanaticle than the Japanese by a huge margin. They do not believe that Saddam is a god. So the fact that most fanaticle group of people in modern history shut up and now respect us after two bombs really says something.

WTF are you talking about? Elaborate a bit further...

In 1945 you won the war by nuking two cities. Now guess what; 1945 was a little bit different. The Japanese had little fighting power left (sure, they could still drag a lot of GIs with them, but the outcome would have been the same). Besides, in case you haven't noticed; in WW2 destroying entire cities had become...pretty normal. The Japanese were already tired of war, and had no chances to win it. Besides, they didn't know you didn't have any more nukes and they feared you guys would nuke them back to the stoneage without them being able to do anything about it.
Now fast forward to 2004 Iraq. So far we've had pretty much a low-intensity conflict, where the insurgency has basically one goal; they want the US out. Could they archieve that? YES. If they could get a steady supply of body bags to the US they might just archieve that. So their fight isn't unwinnable. Now second, I think the fanaticism of the Iraqis rebellion shouldn't be underestimated. So far it looks like they don't mind becomming a martyr.
So what would happen if you'd wipe the entire town off the face of the earth? Pretty much anyone pro-American would become anti-American, because they'd see you as a bunch of ethnic cleansing Nazis. That would basically make it their main goal to just get you out ASAP. Do you honestly believe every Iraqi will just sit by when the US is commiting genocide?
You know, against the nukes, the Japanese couldn't do anything. The Japanese were in a hopeless situation. The insurgency...is not.

So? In somolia, Rangers found the somolis had brand new M16A2's in better condition then their own. It's not as hard as you think, a lot of diffrent kinds of guns are avalible to the highest bidder on the black market. Plus, in the age of free enterprise and internation corperations, it's possible for people in countries who's laws don't forbid these arms to buy them legally.
Smooth, Loco! Way to work in the nudity....
Next time use a Graphic Warning for the younger viewers. Bodypainting is the exception. ;)
Please, excuse me, I still hadn´t read it. I was only interested in the russian fashion. To the younger viewers, I hope you aren´t terrified, in fact, when I was a child being in the beach rounded of women in top less produced me a feeling of safety even I didn´t know the reason . When I was about 12 or 13 years old, the story changed.
