pictures from the “Frivilliga motorcykelkåren” (The voluntary motorcycle corps) Personnel are recruited on a voluntary basis and so are the "members" belonging to the voluntary defence organisations that play a significant roll in the units because of their special skills and training.

Some Swedes can correct me now if I am wrong but the bikes on the pictures are Husqvarna 258 :) . notice that the bikes have small skies mounted on them..

Where do I sign up?

I don't speak Swedish, but I can bring my own bike.

I respect all motorbikers in swedish army, especially during the cold winter when temperatures can drop below 50 minus whilst driving the motorbike

What is purpose of this Corp?

Recon, communication, supply? Are they trained for regular or guerrilla combat?

Handing out cinnamon buns like female driving core.

jk ;)

For us, these bikers where handing out information, messages and maps that where not allow to be broadcasted via radio. They where the only ones on a full alert, or doing their roll seriously because of the threat of thefes. Thefes actualy steal alot from the army, even artillery shells.

Correct and today we also use them in search and rescue mission because they can search through and large area faster then we can do by walking . and they can bring hot coffee to Luno

Look like very old motorbikes. Any idea on brand of the bikes? Is it the Swedish made Husaberg or some Japanese make?

They are very old. The army use newer enduro bikes.
