Tanks line the side of a road in Bangkok's outskirts September 21, 2006. Thailand was back to work as normal on Thursday, less than 36 hours after a military coup condemned by international leaders but endorsed by the royal palace and greeted by many Thais with relief. The military shut down the city on Wednesday, in the interests of maintaining calm, they said. But Bangkok traffic was back to the familiar near-gridlock, while coup leaders worked on fulfilling a promise of a civilian prime minister in two weeks.

Not just Kampfschwimmer, but a whole SEKM regiment-sized unit. However, there is no amphibious/marine brigade or division, and Germany lacks the sort of amphibious assault vessels that some European countries have.

Figure skaters Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy refused Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006, to drop their controversial coach despite threats from the German figure skating federation. The federation warned the former European Championships silver medalists their contracts would be terminated and they would be shut out of international competitions if Ingo Steuer remained their coach. So you see no difference between an israeli soldier and a hezbollah terrorist?
Their job is to be neutral, they depend on cooperation from both sides. Since the Lebanese authorites are useless, they have to deal with Hezbollah.
If you want my opinnion, the UN should have stayed out of there and let the Israelis and Muslims kill each other, so that we don't have to deal with their BS any longer. Go ahead, duke it out between each other, or finally make peace!
