why the hell are the acp and the gap in the same group as they are completely different. i wont vote cause i want to vote for the acp but the gap is one of the most unneeded and usless rounds out there. so....

my vote is for the .45 acp. if you update teh poll so that it is separate(its like grouping the 10mm with a .40sw which just shouldnt be done) i will vote untill then you know my choice.

btw, this has been done and no one will win this argument.

It isn't a subsonic bullet, this is a special kind of load, the Ballistic Action Trauma or Blitz Aktion Trauma (BAT) loads developed in Germany and currently in production for use in both Germany and Holland and perhaps other countries. These are solid copper alloy projectiles with a large hollow point filled with a plastic cap to aid feeding in an automatic pistol. When fired, the hole through the bullet allows the barrel pressure to eject the plastic tip and the solid bullet body is designed for the ideal combination of penetration and stopping power.
Another photo; this is called "Action 3" point

GECO is the german company which manufactures this loads. This load has "hollow point" effects, it's an old load but I like it.

So, the 9 can't come out and play? Oh well, how come the 10mm Auto isn't on there then? It's American, or are metric-named calibers excluded alltogether? And the 40S&W is excluded because the 10mm and the 40S&W share the same projectile? (Funny how the .38 and the .357 got on there in that case.)
:cantbeli:

Seriously though, the 10 and the 40 needs to be on there.

dennis G, i didnt mean it as a knock on you, just that "whats your favorite handgun/caliber" has been done to death, and it always turns into an argument of .45 vs 9x19. americans love our .45ACP, most europeans love their 9x19....and so on (i'm over-simplifying a TON, so no one get grouchy about the above stereotypes)

any, I suppose if their is no 9mm I'd go with the .44 Magnum

"I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six shots or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya punk?"

I posted the "Joke" remington ad, just because I think it's funny, and it seemed relevant to the thread. Then you called me a wanker. That's the sequence of events as recorded in this thread ( top of page 2, at least on my display ).

It was meant to be funny, and if you somehow consider it a personal attack, or if anyone else did, then I apologize. It certainly wasn't my intention to insult anyone, just to make a few people laugh. I'll make it abundantly clear right now: I don't think any less of ANYONE who uses 9mm or any other non-.45 round. To each their own. The ad just makes me laugh everytime I see it, that's all.

I was originally led to this web site because people were doubting the rounds and BT's rep was getting trashed by people who had no idea about him or the ammo and I was sent to defend it and him(not that BT needs it). What I notice is that those who use pistols most often prefer the .45 ACP round.

.40 and 10mm are my favorite rounds! How can you overlook them? I find they provide the best balance between stopping power, precision, and mag cap. Anyone who has ever fired a pistol loves .45 but I think it's more than what is necessary in many cases. And 9mm feels like a plinking round to me. Now that sofy body armor has become fairly prevalent, 9mm is no longer at all effective.

My vote goes to one of the heavier .40 hollowpoint loads.

Do you mean tacticalforums.com? I went their also. You see there are some "scientific" naysayers with their own agenda and unless it works in a controlled i.e. gelatin solution they will bash it to no end, never even actually seeing it's damage in live tissue..........I have! And this is why I believe in the ammo because seeing is believing! I have since become friends with the owner of the company and use the ammo exclusively when working. The ammo has been put on display at the Blackwater shootouts and you should see the ease it goes through steel,3A paca vests, and incredibly strong bullet resistant glass!

If you recall I was the one who rebuffed the rediculous claims of it's non-legality, and that it isn't just free to the public w/out regard.
We wanted this crap (had not seen it, only RUMORINT) to play with after A-stan - however it was kind pointless without something to shoot (no energy dump on paper). We then heard stories from friends, eventually reading it in various news articles from Iraq (Army times, etc). The line that I still remember was something like "I have/seen people?/ shot people with all kinds of 5.56, but I have never seen anything like this."

Jednym slowem dobra robota marketingowcow :)

I think it is some kind of alloy ( or mayby parch metal powder ) and during formation of bullet some energy is stored up in stresses - this energy is relised after the bullet gets warm - for example when kinetic energy become termal energy after hiting the target..sorry if it sounds stiupid but I dont know proper words to say in english what iI mean.
