Anybody else catch the fottage on CNN and Fox News last night showing the Iraqi insurgant with the M249 SAW? I was wondering where he would have got that from, downed coalition soldier or one of our "friends"?

the Minimi's from B20 are still unaccounted for as well.

As were a few other weapons the SBS ditched at the start of the war, when they got compramised.

Striking similarities between Militia's and Fedayeen is there not?

I saw the same footage and thought I'd hate to be in his shoes if he is captured. Being caught with an opponent's weapon or anything taken from your enemy has been a taboo on the battlefield for years and often leads to mistreatment of prisoners. :|

Then again, Iraq seemed to have a little bit of everything in their armory from arms suppliers around the world, so it is remotely possible it was from some hidden arms cache.

I was wondering how you could tell the difference?

It is interesting that Argyle mentioned the minimi's from B20. I was watching , "The Real Bravo Two Zero" documentary about three weeks ago on the History Channel. During the program they panned a shot passed all their recovered gear to include, belt kit, bergans and at least two battered minimi's.

An excellent program well worth the time, it puts all those associated books into real perspective...crap! Although I have heard good things about "Soldier 5", anyone know if it is available in Canada?

Cheers

Just tried to get Soldier 5 in the US and they didn't have it listed. Here's a link to a UK website that sells it. I don't know if they will ship it to you, but its worth a try.

Amazon.com are more than happy to ship to the UK so I assume Amazon.co.uk are willing to ship to North America.
