I read some reaseach that said the same thing, but also that women were many times more likely to start a pump fire because they were more likely to go back in the car than a guy was.

That's what I considered "not well". Was it better to pull the nozzle out?

Honestly, I don't know what the odds are that the tanks would explode, but most people realize fire + gas = very bad.

Some car needs certain level to make the engine perform at thier best. Like if you use 88 while they recommend 93 you won't get the perfomance out of the engine like you would if you use 93.

BTW my girlfriend is watching Next Top Model and is REALLY into it. Hasn't said anything to me for about 40 minutes so far. No wonder she doesn't know what's going on in the world.

Because they are fit enough just to get out of the car, without touching it.
Older people tend to have haul themselves out, by putting their hand on the door frame (metal) and stepping out therefore earthing themselves.

If you watch her, she gets out without touching any metal part of the car

BTW the special I saw said; don't remove the pump. Stop pumping, but don't remove the pump. (having the pump in restricts the amount of air getting in)

Well they say if you car is suposed to take 89 just get that, if u get anything higher your just waisting your money. However, my car seems to run smoother and the little vibration i notice my car has when I use 89 is gone and it accelarates faster(Maybe its just me). Also i need higher octane because for me driving on the Beltway here in the D.C area is race, I cant stand being passed or left lane bandits. Im surprised i havent got a speedin ticket yet. In the end i guess its all in your perception I feel 93 improves performance of my car.

Doesn't work that way.
The higher octane level the fuel has the higher preasure and heat it can take before it selfignite.

Normally it doesn't matter what type of gas you use in your car, unless it's built specifically to take a higher octane level.
However some modern engines can "feel" when the fuel you use ignite and then adapt to that so that it get the most availible preformance/runs the smoothest out of the fuel without causing damage to your engine.
