The American Marine

He is prepared and ready for War,
There have been many before him;
And there will be many long after he is gone.
He knows what he must do,
He has made a life of facing the enemy with courage and strength.
He will not faulter, he will not fail.
He has sacrificed his family and his comforts
To patrol a foreign land in the freezing cold;
To squat in the jungle for hours on end;
To wait in the hot desert sand.
He doesn't do this for the pay, the experience, or the travel.
He does it because it is in his blood; it is what he was born to do.
He is a true Patriot, a true Hero.
There were many in World War I and II,
many in Korea, Vietnam, and the Gulf too.
The price his country will ask him to pay is great.
He will shed his blood and fight for those who can not,
Prepared to die for the oath he has given for so many.
He will salute the Flag of his beloved Country; even when he can no longer stand.
He will pray to die on the battlefield, for he knows his brothers will not leave him behind.
They fight for our Freedom, our right and privilage to call this great country our home.
Be strong noble American Marine, for you are needed, you are loved, you are glorified.
God has made a special place for the American Marine; for your cause is justified.
Stand tall Marine; for you are a true American.
You are cloaked in the Red, White and Blue.
Just know that in every American's heart you will always remain;
What you have given, can never be repaid; this is true.
For, the path you have chosen, has saved millions from pain.

As for the Marine tribute very nice. The 2 most proud days of my life were when i first heard the words you are now a US Marine and the day my son was born!

Hey Elmo, did you ever stop to ask yourself the context of the photo of that child dressed up as a Marine? It doesnt seem like a profesional photo to me...more like a family photo taken from an album. Perhaps the family dressed him up as a Marine to honor his father..... My father used to be a police officer in NYC when I was a baby and I have a few pics of myself dressed up as a baby cop......

Stop bashing just for the sake of bashing and STFU....jeez this anti-Americanism is getting way way out of hand on this forum. It just gets worse every day with people like Helex, Mustomoto, occasioanly Russian Texan (but I still like him), and of course Elmo and others using every chance they get, even in weapons topics , to bash the US in every way possible................
