Stick in the eye

So we were doing a training mission yesterday, normal recce stuff. after we set up our ORP myself and the rest of my team had to cross this gully. It was a big bitch and really steep. After scrambling up the side I get to the top and no sooner do I look up then BAM I catch a tree branch right in the eye.

It hurts like a bitch but I'll survive. My eye bothers me for the rest of the day. So I go to dinner that night with my girlfriend, we're having a good time until all of a sudden my eye is bugging me again something fierce. My girlfriend looks over and yells "Oh my god what the Fcuk is that?!"

With her help I hold my eye open and she pulls out a fcuking stick! The thing was litterally as long as my pinky nail! What more I find out later when I take my contacts out there is this huge jagged hole off of one side.

my eye still hurts but thankfully I can see...

I'm a welder by trade and I've had to go to the emergency room on 3 different occasions to get metal shavings out of my eyes. You knida take your eyesight for granted until something happens to it. No fun. One time I got a little piece of steel in my eye but I didn't feel it go in and it was in there for 4 days before I got it out. The thing rusted while it was in there and they had to strap me into this Clockwork Orange looking machine and remove the spot on my eyeball where the metal left a rust stain with a little tiny drill. The cool part was they gave some sweet ass liquid cocaine eye drops to put on there afterwards. Good stuff.
