Hi guys !
Got a bit of a general question on ID theft.
What are the consequences of it ? It seems that its pretty profitable, commit crime, let others take the blame/ responsibility. My question is if penalties are harsh enough to discourage it. I joke with my law buddies that the death penalty for id theft would make it obsolete, but of course, it seems inappropriate. We all talk about a fair treatment for a crime, but what will work is if the penalites are NOT as appropriate for the crime to deter it (using death penalty analogy).
ANyone know off-hand the penalties /punishments for it ? Ban computer use for life !! LoL
