You've got to be ****ing kidding me.
Not that picketing soldiers funerals wasn't already disgusting enough, but this is so beyond the pale that I'm not even sure I have the words to describe it.

I know it sounds like internet tough guy talk, but I think I would have no problem taking my black jack to a couple of these fcuktards:(
The Kansas group says the Amish schoolgirls were “killed by a madman in punishment for Gov. Ed Rendell's blasphemous sins against Westboro Baptist Church.
"Gov. Ed Rendell — speaking and acting in his official capacity to bind the State of Pennsylvania — slandered and mocked and ridiculed and condemned Westboro Baptist Church on national Fox TV," the group says on its Web site.
“Rendell also revealed a conspiracy to employ the State's police powers to destroy WBC in order to silence WBC's Gospel message. Co-conspirators identified by Rendell included state officials, citizens, lawyers, legislators and media,” the Web site says.
Westboro Baptist Church said it is "continuing to pray for even worse punishment upon Pennsylvania.”
They really are not going in the right direction:(
One for the good guys.
In a related development, a group with links to the Church of the Nazarene in Grove City, Ohio, says it is considering coming to Lancaster County to keep the Westboro Baptist Church protesters away from the funeral locations.
A spokesman with “Leave A Mark Ministries,” a Christian motorcycle club, said his group is discussing plans to make the trip to Lancaster County.
It's just a shame that the groups above have to get involved to keep the peace at the funerals.

I'm with you. I hate to say it, but I would love to leave one of these pukes motionless on the ground. I'd love to dress up as the Biker from The Village People, with chaps and no underwear, and beat them with a Harley chain.
Theres something I dont get.
Why doesnt anybody walk up to them and start beating them up

Unfortunately, the average citizen would be arrested for assault, while the "Baptists" can preach hate and treason with no consequences.

Our constitution gives us the right to assemle peacefully. If they keep their distance and dont show any violence they can do as they wish. This is what we trade for freedom. I believe they will catch some underground backlash from this though. Not to many of us will be putting up with their $hit.

They're not coming anymore - thank God..
That church group from Kansas that shows up to picket military funerals has decided not to demonstrate at the funerals of the five Amish girls who were shot this week in Pennsylvania.
Members of the Westboro Baptist Church routinely picket military funerals, saying American servicemen and women are dying overseas because God is angry that the U-S tolerates homo******s.
And the church, in a statement on its Web site, blames Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell for the five school shooting deaths this week -- because of comments Rendell made about the Kansas church group on T-V several months ago. Rendell says, "They're insane."
But now, it says a representative of the church will appear on the nationally-syndicated Mike Gallagher radio talk show, in exchange for dropping the planned demonstration at the Amish funerals.
In June, Rendell signed legislation aimed at restricting the church group's picketing, by making it illegal to demonstrate within 500 feet of a funeral or memorial service.

Here we go again! Please stop lumping all Baptists into this wicked group. I am a Baptist and I am nothing like the Westboro fake Baptists. Those idiots only call themselves Baptists for dramatic effect of their lawsuit bait machine.

Go check them out. They take their beatings fairly often. Their leader is a former lawyer. (disbarred) So, basically they just use the beatings to fuel another protest. If they get beat up in your town.. God hates your town and they find a way to protest it. Not much mystery about how this group works. God hates everything but them. Kind of funny when even the other liberal, anti-x, and religious zealot organizations think you are a tool.
I just hope this group goes whako cult on us and tries to catch the next spaceship. I'd donate the "magic cool aid" myself.

It shows their true colors when they are willing to protest the funerals of Amish folks. Being that the Amish are admiringly devoted to the very God that the Westboro Beasties proclaim to represent.

It's pretty wierd, just because the center of the Mormon universe in Utah.
Plus, most people in my church were from Utah, Idaho, or Wyoming...so there's definitely a cultural difference.

America sucks because we allow knee jerk reactions to fools like these cult followers(yep, a spin pff of the baptist faith). Beating them up and trying to blow them up is not the anwser. Amazing as this sounds, it only fuels their fire, making them more bold. What we need to do, is start enforcing local laws about funerals,(every community has some type of laws about conduct at funerals)and prosecuting these people, because quite frankly, they are about as wrong as a 3 dollar bill.:bash: :-*$ :backhand:

I hear ya...where else in the world can traitors get away with crimes that would get them imprisoned or executed? But, on the bright side(yep there is a bright side) Thats what makes our country not suck. The ability to have certain freedoms and rights guarenteed. ALthough these people are as deplorable as scum from a rotten carcass on the floor, they still amazingly have that right to make stupid fools out of their selves for all to see.(exercising their right to free speech and assembly)

Agreed. Let's not kid ourselves, these guys are a cult. They're basically a family that follows the teachings of the patriarch.
While the best and most noble thing to do would be to turn our backs on them, they will still continue to turn up at funerals spewing their vitriol.
I do have a feeling that they are probably going to be the victims of their own device.

Spin off of the Baptist faith? Wrong, in the true Baptist(any Christian) faith God loves everybody, we love our neighbor, enemy and those who dispitefully use us. Love is the central doctrine of the Christian faith. Do you see any love in these jerks? Stop lumping good Christian folks in with these hatemongers. Out of the thousands of Baptist churches, one so called church that calls themselves Baptists is protesting funerals. It is telling how they cancel there little protests in highly religious areas and go full out in more secular parts.
