Hello guys . I have burned my computer 2 weeks ago , but good thing came out of it . I finally got scanner , and joined the "space" age . I am very bad cameramen ,and i asshamed to say that all my good photos came from my friends . And i also took very little pictures in my service , something i regret now . So , bare this in your mind .

The story took place in a Palestinian vilage , near the city of Jenin in west bank . Some say , the lightning can't strike twice , but it did . My tank fell from the road curve when we returned from mission , and took very bad "angle" on that spot . Exactly couple of days later , a platoon commander tank fell off from the road , on the same curve exactly (200 metters from our turning) .

During the recovery and rescue work , some Palestinian kids came and started to help us . Enough to say , that i was pretty against it in the beggining , but later it became pretty funny . The guys help us carry some heavy stuff , and tried to steal 20 kilogram plates from the place . We gave them our food , and they were pretty happy . They were enjoying to carry the stuff , and pretend they are soldiers .

Here are the pictures from the event . Again , i warning you , i am terrible photo guy .

I tried to photograph my friend , during the process of "dumping"
. But as i said , i am a terrible photographer , so it's very hard to find him on the picture .
But the fate was harsh with me on the picture : Later i myself went to make some "number 2" , and exactly at that moment one of our tecnicions were injured . My Co that was on the scene , organised his evacuation in my tank , and i couldn't "make the stuff" in time , in order to take my weapon , that i left on the tank .The tank started to drive away , and i run like a crazy , throwing stones , but it didn't help . I spent 20 minutes there without my personal weapon , and that was the most scary 20 minutes in my life .
But also that was the best damn "number 2" in my life rofl

Well , that was pretty much driver fault on this one . It was early in the morning , dawn , and the driver started to change his scope from nightvision to regular day optics , on drive ( thats fun , but hard drill ) . He should have informed his commander that he does that , in order for commander to start directing the driver . But the driver informed commander second after he started to replace it , and that was enough ...

BTW : It was the first known time , that IDF used Chemical weapons . We gave the Palestinian boys to taste our "Shoko" , That's IDF standart issue Chocolat milk , that known for causing serios abdominal desruptions .

Now those kind of photos you will never see in the "Today Pics" . I wonder why ... ;)

Very broken combined Arabic (combined - that means everybody contributed from their poor vocabulary) , and a lot of hand language :) .

and then oooops, driving over the cliff.

Maybe, but his description of a tank driver who drove the tank off a cliff, probably has a lot of truth to it.

It's very hard to drive on the paved road , and on Urban enviroment , when the tracks aren't covered with rubber . It takes special skills , and sometimes , accidents do happend .
My driver , for example , just wanted to taste real food , after a week of cornbeaf , and discussting dry food . He didn't calculated the spead on some curve , and ...

Absolut Citr is discusting . Limonaya has better taste .
I personally have encountered some strange "Peysahovskaya" vodka , for the first time in my life . Now this is some good **** .... I bet they didn't had that in Egypt some 4000 years ago .

Actually 37 years of forced togetherness has given the Palestinians a better command of Hebrew than we have of Arabic.

Even some of the SLA I worked with had decent Hebrew. They certainly dressed better than we did.
