If you're intersted in WW1 check http://www.greatwar.nl

Lots of photos and background.

WW1 is a topic I read a lot about. It's the late beginning of the 20th century and a complete change in warfare. One of my favourites is of course "All quiet on the western front" by E.M.Remarque, but there are also a lot of great books about the great war.

Right now I'm reading "Boysoldiers of the great war". Topic are the thousands of underage soldiers serving in all countries in the war (especially UK is the topic in the book).

The "GEO" had a awesome special about WW1 with a big special part about Verdun. Back then I considered doing my final work at university about Verdun, but after I read this special article (historical view, letters from soldiers etc, really deep inside view) I changed my mind. It was just too sad and inhuman to research and analyze it trough a whole summer...
