Especially those used in Siberia and the Far East by soldiers as well as trappers, hunters, explorers etc.
I'm looking for information, vignettes and photos of soldiers, explorers etc.
Thank you in advance

Well according to wiki the 1870 Berdan was the main russian rifle before the 1891 Nagant.

Sorry I too cant find any good photos. Looked for stuff from the Russo-Japanese war, almost all Naval or of the Japanese. Other than that probably s&w revolvers, and muskets?
Post any stuff you get, you have got me interested!

The rest of this series can be found here... http://www.anzenberger.at/en/article/10738.html?WGSESSID=97cdf091fd3fde08928499919e822630&PHPSESSID=34eb058212629c3aa4a6baa6b884788e

So above we have the Berdan2 in 10.75mm, then another breech loader, the Krinka which was a converted M1857 Rifle in 15.24mm or 6 linea (.60cal). Which is the last one in the series to the right, it itself was a converted musket from 1845.
They also used the Smith and Wesson Mod 3 pistol, I haven't figured out the caliber yet.
After about 3 million Berdan 2's were made by 1891 they adopted the venerable M1891 Moison-Nagant in 7.62mm.
