So I saw a picture that seems to clearly say "hoorah, the iraqis killed some Americans/civilian contractors" and I expressed my feelings. You call me anti-Finnish? Then I explain the context of my post and you compare me to a Palestinian, as if it is an insult? Look, friend, I don't know what your problem is, but if it means that much to you, you can win this little pissing contest. I have no use for asshats who are of the opinion that the image in question was somehow cause for celebration and I don't know why it seems to matter so much to you. I have no anti-this or anti-that agenda. You seem to be presuming an aweful lot with no justification or rationale. You feel like pissing up a pole, feel free, but you won't get far with me.

Do you guys seriously think that American soldiers aren't capable of being cruel? Every man on earth has that capacity.
Furthermore, in none of these pictures do I see the Iraqis disrespecting the bodies at all. Yea, they are searching the pockets, so what? Its standard practice in all armed forces to search enemy bodies.
And please, do not accuse me of being anti-american, because I'm not, I served my country for 5 years, and I would die defending this country. I just think it was pointless to go to Iraq. **** em. Why should we care they weren't free? we've helped plenty of dictators before. We even used to be freindly with Saddam.

my gf's cousin is in the 1/5th Marines. He's an Asshole with a capital A, but I hope he stays safe over there.
As for the Iraqis, after looking at those pictures, I almost agreed with some of our more liberal members. Namely, bring our boys home and let the Iraqis get what they want. If they tear the country apart (again) then that's their problem. We try to help and what do we get? Cowardly attacks on innocent civilians and aide workers...
...and then I remember that's the "easy" and selfish way out.

So emptying the pockets of a dead man makes them savages?
Your disdain for Americans is quite easy to discern. What's 'savage' is the murder of the civilian truckdriver, the vulturous looting of personal posessions and the euphoria they take in the in doing so.
Such behavior certianly is not civilized or morally acceptible to me; pehaps for you it is - or until the same fate meets a family member of yours, somother time and place, for all to see in the media.

If we put it like this. The day you die, which could be tomorrow when a truck
drives over you the police will empty your pockets. If you die in 60 years by
a heart attack your pockets will most probably be emptied as well. I donīt think

That is the stupidest comparison I've ever heard. They empty your pockets for identification and to give the possessions on you to your next of kin or to be used as evidence in a trial. You're not a stupid person, I don't understand how someone such as yourself could make such a blatantly misleading comparison of two completely different situations.

You are quite the fool, aren't you? Yes, military, police, and civil authorities will empty the pockets of the dead in order to either gather intelligence from them or determine the identity of the dead or to pass those possessions along to the family. Any chance that is what motivated these f@cking animals to go through this guys pockets? If you want to compare these guys to some element of society that goes through pockets, compare them to murderers and theives, because that is what they are. If you can't discern the difference, then I pity you. These guys are one step away from flinging poo at one another, but if you think this is civilized, controlled behaviour, well...
Also, this was a civilian contractor they are LOOTING, not a soldier.

Exactly FallenAngel, if we pull out now then we will be the whole laughing stock of the UN and of the rest of the world. Mostly the French and Germans will probably keep saying "I told you so" and all that BS for as long as they live because they are a bunch of ****s, not all of them but a lot of them. Then we will get blamed for the entire regions problems for the next 200 years or so all because we didnt just nuke the whole goddamn place.
And the Iraqis that shot up the tanker truck and were standing around celebrating. Thats the job of a A-10, just ****ing drop a **** load of bombs on their asses because they were stupid enough to stick around. I dont know why all these convoys are not getting CAS. Its pathetic planning and really sad.

No, they're searching for supplies, things they can use. It still doesn't make a diffrence. Let me put it this way, if you were at war, thrown out there with only a gun and a couple of spare mags, you'd probably search every dead body you came accross for something you could use. Through out time, soldiers have always done this. In world war 2, US soldiers would search dead germans, taking medals, papers, weapons, etc as souveniers. How is this any diffrent? It's not. You can't condon what those people are doing, and not condon what US troops do all the time. You don't think marines search and take souveniers from dead Iraqis? You'd be suprised, it's very common for soldiers to do this. It's something that's be done for many, many years.

That pic was posted day before (He219 mentioned it) They're not GROM operators - there more regular commandos form 1PSK (1st Special Commando Regiment) from Lubliniec. They're seem to improvise with their issue Beryl rifles lately (various custom foregrips, flashlights) - just check some recent threads... And As for interchangeability among "members" of AK family it is indeed interesting... Maybe we get some more unusual examples.

These commandos are not GROM but from other Polish special operation forces - 1 PSK (1st Special Commando Regiment) [it's unit a little similiar to US SF, but rather like something between SF and Delta (CAG)]
And yes, in Iraq they sometimes modify their weapons using Romanian pistol grip. - edit: upss... "Catch22" was faster than me ;)

Is this an official info or only press info that GROM operates as a part of 2bat/3rd SFG? I suppose that journalists from "NTW" (polish millitary magazine) wrote that because they saw few pictures showing GROM operators using Humvee borrowed from this US SF unit. But of course officially GROM is under US SOF command so it's possible that this press info is true.

Yea, your right, the death of 12 or 100 coalition soldiers is militarily insignificant, but not insignificant to public opinion and perception around the world. Not everyone in the world is as right-wing as people on this board.
Also, how the hell is ******* colluding with the enemy? thats reporting, good reporting, covering both sides. ******* has lost several people killed by AMERICAN ****ups. If it was pictures of dead Iraqis, nobody here would complain..
But to clarify, I agree, the insurgents all need to die, not so much for what they are doing, but because it will help speed along the process of getting out of the country and letting the wolves go at each other.

No picking through a dead soldier's belongings alone doesnt make them savages. But that's completely out of contex. They were posing for photos and celebrating next to their bodies.
Tearing apart bodies, hanging them on a bridge and then dragged through the streets, all while cheering and celebrating. And those were not just fighters but the civilians living in Fallujiah. They've showed the world they're nothing but f**king savages and then cry and complain when they get shot at like they're so innocent.

House to house, find every last one of those who perpetrated this, kill them and there families, stuff them in the belly of a pig or sheep or what ever else they find "unclean" , toss them in a huge pile in the middle of the city and light the whole f#%#ing thing on fire.
Then sit back and watch the whole country come apart.
These pictures are disgusting and frustrating. I think what we need to understand is that an Islamic culture will never accept being ruled by anything other than an Islamic state. Not a "American Friendly" Islamic state, because that's worse than being in downtown Dallas to these people. They need to either be totaly broken in spirit (which will never happen) or courted as a nation with superpower status (which will never happen either)
The fact of the matter is this: we are in Iraq like it or not. With no pull out in the forseable future. Things like this are going to happen. If I were them, I would probably be doing the same sort of thing. BUT I would expect that if I were caught doing these things, justice would be swift, harsh and final.
