Looking at this from an analytical and historical standpoint, propaganda plays a huge role in the arab and muslim world. Dating back to the mid 80's various Palestinian groups used cow blood, catsup and other "special effects" to go on western media outlets and make it look like the Israelis were killing children on purpose. Then in 1991 you had Saddam moving civilians into an Air defense bunker knowing it would get bombed. Then the "baby milk" factory. Then in OIF they were putting guns in mosques and schools to make us look bad for searching "sacred" places.

25 members from 1 family were killed by a US bomb. Those kids were part of the family. Most of the casualties are civilians. And yes I know why its not that hard to figure out. Fighting in urban areas results in civilian casualties. But there are more dead civilians (woman, children) than there are insurgents.

CNN put a small segment on how aljazeera is viewing the civilian casulties and they are not supporting the coalition cause.

My dad is a vetern of the first Gulf War and has seen his share of war in his lifetime. He says everyone looks at you the same and you like at them the same, civilians look like civilians, and militia look like civilians, but when they pull out that small firearm concealed under their garment, you have about a 90-10% chance of drawing your weapon up high enough to atleast get sighted on him. So when Marines see a militia man run across the street, and they a civilian run across the street, you think he is going to even think that this man is a civilian? I doubt not, he is thinking the "It's either me or him" line, so when he pulls off that shot and kills him, he doesn't know wether he was a civilian or not. Civilians will get killed, mainly due to the fact that the milita try to act as civilian, and a soldier isn't going to think when rounds are flying by his head.

Anyways the purpose of my post is simply out of curiosity, his exact quote was "america and israel try hard to avoid civilian casualties” now I think that statement is very true and for me personally, as a soldier that has served in the IDF, I can certainly attest to that for Israel’s part, however why did you as an American decide to take your nation out?

I mean for me at least a lot of the Euros here are critical of both and they are at least consistent and while I think they are way off and a lot of what they say IMO is from their biased and false medias, I can at least in some small way respect their consistency of criticizing both (even though I think they are wrong) and NOT being hypocritical (well they are in other ways ;) ) of only criticizing one party and not the other, when in reality Israel is very restrained and indeed tries its best to avoid civilians and I believe the U.S. as well.

Yes I know for some its always easy to criticize the Jews when they do something, but if you are going to criticize, at least don’t be hypocritical about it and limit it to only one party, which it is clear you are indeed very hypocritical!!
