I hear Harry Reid might be is some serious trouble for a scam involving buying and selling homes.

Can someone tell me WHY this isnt all over the news and Chris Mathew's number one concern?

WASHINGTON (AP) - Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid collected a $1.1 million windfall on a Las Vegas land sale even though he hadn't personally owned the property for three years, property deeds show.
In the process, Reid did not disclose to Congress an earlier sale in which he transferred his land to a company created by a friend and took a financial stake in that company, according to records and interviews.
The Nevada Democrat's deal was engineered by Jay Brown, a longtime friend and former casino lawyer whose name surfaced in a major political bribery trial this summer and in other prior organized crime investigations. He's never been charged with wrongdoing - except for a 1981 federal securities complaint that was settled out of court.
Land deeds obtained by The Associated Press during a review of Reid's business dealings show:

I already posted about it yesterday and although I rarely agree with your point of view on things political you are completely justified in asking that question. If he's that goddamned crooked he should be hammered. Legally and in the press. The trouble is, this is probably just the tip of the iceberg and I'd venture there are a whole bunch more of these characters doing the same thing. Far more than any page sex scandal.

I agree, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Democrat or Republican, they all have alot to hide.

But look how the abramoff situation died down too. I thought we were going to get reforms? Personally any member of congress caught in an financial winfall due to his or her position should be hanged for high treason. Not giving a chance to ask for forgiveness from the people and step down and end up with maybe a light slap on the wrist.

If the republicans did what the democrats did with Stubz, Foley would still be doing his job.
