I like the vid.
"Army Strong" when used in context with it works. However without it they might as well say "Army Fabulousss"

Not enough exclamation marks!!!11!!1!

Nah, it's pretty decent, I guess. Certainly better than soldiers jet skiing and playing golf while getting money for college in the Army of One.

Eh. Don't like it... though I didn't really like "Army of One" much either. I've always felt the USMC does a much better job with recruiting, slogans and commercials wise.
For example...

It just goes to show that the faces stay the same the only thing that changes is the gear and such....Good vid Karma.

I like it alright, but I still prefer the Canadian recruitment vids as they have a more practical message ("fight fear, fight terror, etc.") and are not quite so bombastic in their presentation.

That being said, I like this better because the focus is on the actual army, rather than what you can "get" once you finish out your service. Too much focus given to the carrot in the "army of one" in my opinion.

Its so goddamn retarded that I'm ashamed of it. You know it cost $200 million to come up with that slogan??

Nice video, good mix of action.

I just can't ignore the fact that people belive in this stuff, and the fact that the soldiers have been abused in way to many occasions.

But what the hell, the military needs a way to get the youth, better this way then force them into the army.

"The strength to obey" rofl it takes more courage to do something you do not like, then to say no and give up. REAL SOLDIERS UNDERSTAND THAT!

It just goes to show that the faces stay the same the only thing that changes is the gear and such....Good vid Karma. both videos show what the Military is all about, but the soldiers of today are not that of back then.

Too much verbiage, not enough moving pictures. IMO that is the way they should have done it, there are to many men and women coming into the Military these days that attach on to the image of soldier instead of their values. images can show what we have do, but words and their meanings define what we are.

Very good, I like it. Got me a little moved. Let's just say it's a step in the right direction. I think it is great that the Army is moving back towards trying to recruit those who want to be a soldier and serve their country, instead of do this for money, college and your own self interests.

great vid Bridget

And it takes the most courage to disobey. Thanks god I am not a soldier. :) no it doesnt! i have seen many in my relatively short Army career give up and they had no problem saying it, it is those who go on a 120 hour mission or training op even though it is the last thing they want to do that have courag. serving your nation is about Selfless Service and to really adopt that takes courage, to do things for yourself is the easiest thing in the world.

if you try argueing it takes courage because of the scrutiny you will receive from those in your unit, you are full of ****! If you already feel ohh i dont want to do this and i wont, you already said **** your buddies. Loyalty to the mission and to your fellow soldiers are the same damn thing, if you say **** the mission you are saying the exact same thing to your fellow soldiers

I get your point but I donīt share it. For me soldiers are just a tool for politicians to enforce their interests. Nothing glorious, nothing heroic. So I say that disobedience needs more courage than saying "yes".....as we learned from WW II.

So get a conscript army. In a modern democratic society, no politician would have the balls to misuse it.

Agree there. The one with the johnny cash song as well as the different generation commercials are great too.

In marketing videos I think they will be able to do it, just when you see the words alone it looks mediocre IMO.
