Is there anything unique, special, interesting in your family history? If so, please share it here. I'll start.

Here is a picture of my father at work.

You know, there's a long, informative thread about family history in "History and Tactics".

My grandfather was an officer and led a company(?) of 200 men in the Chinese army during WWII. My great-grandfather, a civilian, was killed by the Japanese when they came through the village he was living in. Apparently they just indiscriminately, using people for target practice.

This is the best mine gets, yes he was jewish but he actually ended up attaining the rank of Colonel, very surprising for the prejudice against them at the time. It washed out though my dad is athiest and so am I. The most important thing about this man though is that he started a trend in my family, he was a real estate agent, so was his son, so was the sons son (my dad)
