Somethings all screwed up, ive downloaded it and opened it many times however after it buffers i get perfect sound however a picture after a picture?

I don't think they let you save the file. You have to run it from the site. Cool rifle though, I don't see why Army can't adopt the SCAR from becoming standard issue with all soldiers.

I love to see the SCAR H with the 3 round burst.....a light modular 762x51 rifle.....damn sign me up....I can not wait for this

Really impressive! Thanks for sharing! FN does a nice job, I hope it will be reliable because there are plenty of good idea in the concept.

especially the stand alone stock for the grenade launcher.

Haven't seen that before... but then again I really haven't been looking too hard


Edit - btw the bolt carrier looks tough and reliable, but I haven't had any hand on experience to give an honest answer. I should send some e-mails out ;-)

It has 2 round burst.

Overall both weapons seem to have a considerably larger amount of recoil than the weapons they are designed to replace.

Will the SCAR-H be compatible with the underbarrel 40mm, or will it only fit the SCAR-L version?

An't no probably about it, E.G.L.M. works on both Heavy's & Lite's. "FULLY MODULAR."

I know that the Army is going with the M4/M16 for future applications (which I think is a stupid decision), but wouldn't you think that the Conventional Army would eventually go with the FN SCAR? I have heard rumors that the HK416 is going to replace the M16's and M4's in the Army (maybe just for special forces), but I think that the FN SCAR is better in ways of more reliability, accuracy, modularity, multi-caliber capability, and less weight. If the rest of SOCOM is going with the FN SCAR (and possibly the entire Marine Corps), shouldn't the Army make a better decision?

What does everyone think?

On the middle of the page, you see the fiel name and size in a very small font. up on the upper right corner there is download button and also a three letter code you have to type in to initial the download.

I did the samething, I was looking for the download button until I looked up at the top of the page...

Army always did things their way. But everyone thinks the SCAR are the best choice for the ENTIRE military. what the Army is going to do, it is purely a mystry right now.

ah damn didnt know it was a repost sorry guys....and yea I see its a 2 round burst but would love to see 3 round burst....actually would like to see single, 3 round burst and full auto......man this rifle makes me crazy lol

I think it is somewhat ironic that the US military is spending billions of dollars for subs in the war on terror, hundreds millions of dollars on fighters while they face no enemies in the air while when it comes on spending a thousand dollar on a rifle it faces all sort of hurdles.

I mean. How many scars could one buy for the price of one F22? The more expensive, complicated and messy a military program gets the easier it becomes to get the funding.

Yiorgo, the S.C.A.R. rifle Jim's demonstrating in the Army Times video has single & full auto selector only. For that matter each and every S.C.A.R. rifle I've seen to date has not had a 3 burst option.The three round burst you are seeing is just Jim's trigger discipline/control.

JSOC bought a bunch and also a secret Army group that everyone knows has a bunch also.

this does not mean it is an Army wide deployment. It is a stop gap for those that goes in the harms way to get something that can operate beyond the ability of the current M4 system.

i can deliver a good three round burst from a M4, it is all about training and good trigger control. but knowing the big army, if this gets adapted, you bet they will try to load it up with all the crap they think it is necessary for the big green machine.
