The finest bodyguards in Mexico. All of them ex-special forces. They belong to the Estado Mayor Presidencial, the government's protective teams institute. Some of the known firearms they use: P-90, COLT-45, and BERETTA. 92-F

I don't understand why people that don't care about the subject or have deep bigotry or hatred against Mexicans even bother to post on this thread. Specifically I'm refering to creeper's dumb "that's nice, have the best day ever" feeble attempt at quasi-humor comment. As for the comment of "no doubt trained by the ...", that guy just likes to make assumptions without bothering to do a little research of his own. Perhaps plain lazyness? I really doubt that the EMP receives or depends on training from outside agencies very much. Think about it, do you really think that the Mexican government trusts the US government enough to entrust the US with the safety of its leaders? I think not, besides, the EMP is an old unit, having its origins in times when Mexico and the US had much poorer relations than today. They have plenty of experience guarding presidents, cabinet members, visiting foreign dignataries and the family members of all of them. Unlike the US Secret Service, it is a military unit and has never lost a president.

You must have x-ray vision. I can't tell if they are wearing any or not. If they are, I would guess that it would be the latest, top of the line stuff. If they are not, I would guess that they have a damm good reason for it that only very high level VIP bodyguards would know. Perhaps it would hinder mobility in case quick reaction is needed, or perhaps it would make them more visible, something that some politicians don't like. I really don't know, but I'm sure that they have a good reason.
