Just a point of order.
That is not the/an Olifant ARV. Maybe an older version no longer in use (for some time - at least not after 1989). Current ones (if there are still some left in working order) have larger crane, different set-up, large 50t winch in front (fitted behind large dozer blade), bigger engine etc. Weight up to 65 tons, so so they said.

Do you know what the proper ID would be for the unit I have posted?

Nope.
Can always make one up .....!!
That vehicle is (as far as I know) a museum piece on a concrete slab.
Will however go and look for a pic of the later model and scan it in (yes, the days before digital everything). Know I have one of a bunch of guys posing in the blade.

The newer ones are called MK1A so this is probably an MK1. I am not 100% sure though

So would that be an Olifant MK1 ARV?

Cannot confirm name, we only knew it as the Olifant ARV. So I can only assume this is the Mk1A ARV.

Very bad pic (pic of an old pic)

See dozer blade fitted to the front. Crane for “pulling”/removing engines on the left side, middle as apposed to “other” one which fitted a crane to right hand side back. Large 50t winch was fitted behind the dozer blade and was used to recover stuck/disabled vehicles which could not be reached by tow cables or kinetic rope. Vehicle had loads of storage space, tools, spares etc for field repairs etc. Crew of 4, but not sure of that. Tiffy numbers always varied. Blade was lowered to dig/stabilise it when winching and winch could be block & tackled into 150t pull (which believe me, you need to get vehicles/tank unstuck in mud). This ARV appeared a bit later than the Mk1A itself and had some automotive improvements in comparison with the Mk1A itself. We were told the ARV weighed 65t and had 1000Kw engine. 65t sounds a bit heavy for a vehicle with the turret removed. I also doubt the 1000kw figure. Probably 1000hp, which sounds about right. Mk2 now has 750Kw engine, which I assume is the same as was fitted to the ARV then.

Giving an ARV to the Tiffies was however not a very good idea. They still managed to constantly get lost (with or without the medics), only now in a vehicle that could do some serious damage. I remember a S.Major stumbling into the laager late one night claiming that a tank had driven over his Garry. With him in the gary.
With him being unscaved and all our tanks in laager, I ignored his claim as ridiculous and the ramblings of a man who must obviously be drunk or something.
Found his Gary the next morning in a firebreak.
Flattened from the cab on backwards. Nothing left of the loadbox. Like in flatpacked. Cab untouched. ARV got lost and crossed firebreak gary was parked in. Drove over the back of the gary. Tiffies did not even realise that they crushed gary. Lucky escape.
