It would be cool if a game company would make an Op Flashpoint type game with OIF type themes. Escorting a convoy, doing patrols, raids, etc. :D

Anything like that in the making now?

Don't know about any games based ont he current Iraq conflict being released right now - game publishers are very touchy with games concerning current conflicts, especially a war as contraversial as in Iraq.

I remember back to when, I think it was Sony, posted a copyright for a game called "Shock and Awe" back at the beginning of the conflict, which they changed under pressure from the public.

So having a go on the key-board about a conflict that is still going on. Where civilians and Coalition-soldiers dies while you want to play the game.

Well, if it pleases you, good luck.

They've made two about Iraqi Freedom already. That Hornet flight sim that came out weeks after the war started, and that god awful Close Combat rip off.

Well there's that Kuma/war piece of crap, but it's just cheap crap to cash in on recent events. It totally sucks.

Hmmm - my missionmakers team in OFp were developing several scenarios based on Haiti riots lately - using mostly Tonal Island and some USMC addons such as LAV25, CH53 or Cobras and of course Marine Assault Pack. We were about to put even some Frenchies into action (cool vehicles ;-) ) and then BANG! There we got this damn al Sadr insurgency in Iraq... Who cares about Haiti now ;)
