Narathiwat, THAILAND: Thai soldiers purchase fruit and vegetables at a market in Thailand's restive southern Narathiwat province, 19 October 2006. Thailand's military government said it has extended emergency rule in Muslim-majority provinces as moves to resolve the bloody unrest failed to halt the killings, with another 21 dead this week. The junta that seized power in a bloodless coup last month has made it a top priority to find a peaceful solution to the conflict, calling for talks with rebel leaders and moving to revive a key mediating body in the region. So Sadr's starting sh** again? That's cool. My last unit missed him in '04 because he called a truce before we could vaporize him in An Najaf...not before we smoked a couple thousand of his goons, though. I deploy soon, hope to get another chance, if only to go into offensive ops instead of route clearance and escort details.

Good luck over there, and I hope to God this fat bastard gets a Hellfire up his fat ass.

That'd be cool, his brain (if he has any) splattered all over the wall.

Wow another genius.:| This is not your regular forum and there are serving soldiers of allied forces in Iraq and Afghanistan who are members of this board. You wont see any "balance" from us with the likes of al Sadr al Masri Mullah Omar al Zawahiri or bin Laden. I would advise you to go somewhere else if you expect us on this board to show any sense of "balance" to these rats.

I don't post here much but have been lurking for nearly 2 years. There is some great discussions on this board, mature well thought out arguments from people who know what they're talking about. I don't expect balance (from the insurgent side!) but calling for splattered brains is a bit immature, especially on the iconic Today's Pix thread. Don't mean to insult anyone, just IMO.

I am not in politics and really don't support any side on the Arab-Israeli conflicts.
But usually you get what you give...

Does the name of Irgun Zevai Leumi ring any bells???

Some of the Irgun operations are usually characterized as "terrorist". Like the The King David Hotel bombing, in which 91 people were killed, most of them civilians.

The Irgun used Arab rioting in early December to launch a murderous terrorist campaign that claimed the lives of many Arab civilians in numerous towns and villages.

Irgun leader Menachem Begin later explained, "My greatest worry in those months was that the Arabs might accept the UN plan".

Irgun terrorism would make sure that no agreement would be possible

Its funny how when the ACU first rolled out, everyone and their mother trashed it. Now the Army has almost fully converted to it, and we keep seeing pictures of Navy Seals and now Air Force personel in the ACU.
