I tried doing this search on ARFcom but with no luck.

I have a RRA 9mm AR15, I'm not interested in the 6 position stock I currently have on there as I prefer the 5 position mil-spec I have on my Bushy. I thought about getting a mil-spec 5 position and a mil-spec stock but would like to keep the RRA stamped stock.
So here's my question, is it even possible to purchase a 5 position non mil-spec buffer tube???
Alternative is a 4 position non mil-spec buffer tube?

Any pointers would be great.

Dude...

I am not sure about a 5position non mil-spec tube. Most of the tubes and stock are made by one company with different logos printed on it for various Tier two and three manufactures.

I think you best bet is to go with the 6 position or sell the whole kit as a whole and buy the CMT 5 position.

Thanks for the response Chen.

Do you know if anyone offers a non mil-spec 4 position Car 15 buffer tube???

I know it's a strange question/request, but as mentioned I'd like to keep the RRA stock I have now, just not keen on the 6 position buffer tube that came with the rifle.

Try Bushmaster, they still sell their original fiber lite stock with the 4 position buffer tube.

Tell them you just want to buy another tube as replacement. I think they will accommendate your request.

I called Bushmaster, and I was not very surprised by the amount they wanted for the tube and then shipping on top. They wanted $26.50 for the tube and then $9 for UPS. So I thanked him for checking and carried on with my search.
I found a company called Sherluk.com in Shotgun News, they advertised parts for M16/AR15. I called them this morning, asked about the CAR tube and whether or not it was commercial or mil-spec, commercial(I thought good), then asked if it was 4 or 6 position, she replied 7. I said 7, she said yes, we make our own parts. Strange why anyone would want a 7 position tube but oh well, on with my search.
I called DoubleStar this morning, they have 4 position, commercial tubes for $17.95, they also have Colt mil-spec tubes for $31 if I heard her correctly, I'm going to call back in abit to make sure the commercial 4 position is about 3/4" shorter than the 6.

Looks like DoubleStar might be teh win:)

Phoned DoubleStar back and found out from a Techie that they no longer have the 4 position commercial stocks as everyone wants the 6 position. So that was a no go, they do have the Colt 4 position which was $29, but that would not do me any good with a commercial stock and a mil-spec tube.

So I phoned my pal at AimSurplus to foind out if he could send me in the right direction, he said we have them here and it's $15. Shocker, I should have called him from the get go. Great news for me and I'll pick it up tomorrow.

AimSurplus for teh win:D
