I swear the ADF's website server must be powered by an underfed mouse on one of those exercise wheels, seriously slow to download anything.

Hardened and networked army...............lmao
If thoses dirty fonc's actually listened to the boys they would know what is needed.........But no, the make decisions from offices whilst relaxing in armchairs.......
The Aust. Army has a HUGE problem with retension at the moment.......The ruperts seem to think that a payrise spread over approx 5 years with each year the increase is only about 1.5 - 2% is enough to keep the fellas in....WRONG......That amount barely keeps up with inflation....
Hows about a 15 - 20% UPFRONT rise across the board......Then maybe ppl might decide to stay in........
The mining industry here is poaching service personnel in a massive way.....
The comparison is.......Approx base wage for a digger is 40-50K per annum
= Mining is 60-80k per annum (unskilled) 90-120k per annum (trade qualified)
Why do we work ppl ? Answer is to make money.
If you work to make money well why not earn alot ?
This is my second time in the army......If they dont fix this problem soon they will lose yet another digger......I dont want to leave but we have to be realistic about life.
So come on you pricks with all that rank on your shoulders living in easy street and making all the wrong decisions.....fix them before it's to late........Before you have no option but to bring in national service again....
Hardened and networked army...............lmao

...to serve and serve with your mates!
...be part of the heritage and something bigger then oneself p-)
...the list can go on but don't get me wrong, what you said is well put and there's gonna be a need for a big change and soon too! but I think we all join with an ideal in mind and I think most ppl will keep with that ideal for a very long time...
Unfortunately as the time pass, life changes for a digger or officer alike, with real life needs like a house, kids/wife etc... A better financial incentive to keep their experienced personel is a must.
How about you stfu Tiger75. You know which rank is one of the most under strength at the moment?
It aint officers who are behind the retention problems....it is people sitting in Russel and Campbel......
